The location is terrific . The unit looks out over Newbury Street and very close to the T. The view is great, and being upstairs from Levain Bakery (smells like chocolate chip cookies!) is a fun bonus. Heat and water pressure were good, and having washer/dryer in unit is a huge bonus.This unit is managed by a company rather than an individual host, so most communication was auto-generated and signed by different people. It felt impersonal, and I often had to re-explain my situation. My flight was canceled due to a blizzard and I arrived two days late. I had paid for early check-in, and two nights that I didn’t need, and while I understand weather isn’t their responsibility, it would have been nice to receive some acknowledgment or communication about it.I also found a large live cockroach in the shower. I understand older city buildings can have pests, but I messaged the host and received no response, which was disappointing.Things to know: there are stairs to enter the building and additional stairs up to the second-floor unit, so be prepared to carry luggage. The lockbox is mounted very high. I amt 5'2" and I couldn’t reach it and had to ask someone nearby for help. The apartment overlooks Newbury Street, so it’s lively and can be noisy, but totally expected for the area and wasn't an issue. Wifi was fast and reliable. The linens were worn and low quality Overall an excellent location and decent space. Communication could be better and the roach was gross
