The Cove

New section of the hotel was great, only 3-4 weeks in use. It was very well appointed & much more upscale than a typical hotel. Large screen tv, significantly larger microwave, amazing tiled shower. All of the staff were outstanding! We had great conversations with several of them & it was a pleasure to get to know them. There was a game room above the registration office that was very well done. We will definitely stay there for any future visits to Salem

The hotel is very clean and walk able to town

It was very clean. My room had a drapery rod but no drapes the light came through the shade it was a little annoying. There is no hook in the bathroom for a towel would have been handy. The fire pits were either too high and in the wind it was a little unsafe or barely burned. A glass enclosure wall around them would help with the blow back.

First, let me say Garrett at the front desk was absolutley awesome!!! He was vwry friendly, help with suggests and anything he could do. His manager, Joe Smith, was not so much. We had asked several times for the music to be turned up a little so we could hear it while we sat around one of the two fire pits. He was not budging and the ladies sitting at the other firepit was making more noise than the radio volume. He was not very friendly and basically seemed very unconcerned or even cared about our thoughts. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. The property is great, but depending on who os manning that front reception, is dependant upon yoir experience.

There were no towel bars in the bathroom. The bath amenities are not luxury as stated. There was not an internal lock or bolt on room door nor was there an external lock on the building door to the outside. The staff was friendly.

The Cove was an excellent choice for our trip. Clean, comfortable suite with great, unique decor. The outside area with fire pits is a really nice area to wind down. The staff was helpful and checked our room daily. The grounds were immaculate. We highly recommend choosing this unique hotel.

Disappointing

The pictures on hotel.com were incredibly misleading. Were given what has to be tiniest room i have ever stayed in. Not at all whatbi expected. The room amenities were mediocre at best. No ice bucket? One of the bedside lamps were burned out. It was not replaced the whole time were there. They had remote controls for the lamps. That was weird. There was no waynto secure the door from inside when we were in the room. The room locks were keyless combination locks. Weird but functional. Staff was friendly enough, but office hours were limited. Very limited vending options. All in all, it was way over priced for what we got. I don't recommend this, at least not through hotel.com. be really careful that you get the room you want or you will be in a shoe box.

It was very clean upon arrival. Lovely staff grated us. The ocean room was super fun. Only small complaint would be the the 3rd day we left the cleanig staff a small tip, but upon arriving to the room, the beds weren't remade, the floors not swept. Basicaly the bare minimum was done to restock towels and coffee cups. However, that small thing aside its a beautiful, clean, and cozy place to stay. We will be staying again.
