The condo is great. Location is good. As expected for Boston, driving and parking could be better due to one way streets and roads closed as pedestrian thorough fairs. Google/Apple maps didn’t recognize streets closed to cars. Only gripe is that the adjacent Burger King and alcove that is the entrance to the building is a hangout for unhoused.

Attention to detail - great linens, nespresso with plenty of pods, easy to use app for entrance & elevator. Suite itself is beyond spacious, privacy for 3 couples. Central to everything, right around the corner from the hustle & bustle of Downtown Crossing, 15 min walk to Newbury. Beautiful views of the common & state house. Host Peter is easy to communicate with, kind, and we got lucky with his generosity with an early check in offer due to no one staying the day before. You will read a small deterrent from other reviews but like most say… the homeless & loitering population outside the entrance is only sad, not unsafe. A lot of police & transit police presence to ensure safety. Area heavy with litter but it’s cleaned up daily. Wouldn’t call this a con of the suite or the stay by any means truly, just unfortunate to have to witness upon entry exit. Very glad we found the hidden gem that is The Monty. We look forward to staying again this winter while we are in the city for 2 more occasions.

Brilliant apartment that is like new and has a great view of the state house and common. Communication was excellent. The downside is the area. I hadn’t realised just how bad things had become around the park street T on tremor - it’s a sea of drug dealing, mental illness, homelessness, and police activity. That is a big downer for an otherwise brilliant property.

beautiful apartment in the heart of boston. great communication; the only thing to be aware of is the area is not great. outside the door were junkies shooting up and other homeless people literally right in front of the entrance. We were 6 guys traveling together, but with a family it maybe wise to be careful. Otherwise inside the apartment it was amazing.

The Monty was a great stay for our latest trip to Boston for 3 couples! It is a perfect location across from Boston Commons with easy access to the Subway and walkable all around the city. The app used to access building was great and made us feel safe and secure. The unit was spacious and the beds were very comfortable! We would definitely stay at the Monty again!

Nice Location but Loud when Church Clock Rings

We stayed in one of the penthouse units. The suite was clean and had nice features. It was a great location for site-seeing in Boston and the view is very nice of Boston Common and the state capitol building. However, the area has some homeless people and some rift raft. We never felt threatened though since we were in a group of 5. The Monty is next to a church which has a clock tower and the bell rings every 15 minutes and rings longer on the hour. It is loud and at night you can't sleep well. Luckily we had ear plugs which helped a lot.
