We are long-time VRBO users, and this was our first major problem in over 10 years. We booked this property for its advertised 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and pool access, paying a premium. Multiple discussions with the property manager, Usman, left us very uncomfortable.We booked specifically for the outdoor pool in the listing. Upon arrival, instructions failed to mention the address had changed, and we were placed in a different building. When we called, we were told the original address was the parking garage and the new address was the apartment complex, but we had no garage access and street parking was unreliable.The exact instructions we received were:" Concierge Strictly Off-Limits. You are my personal guests—not hotel guests—so please never mention 'short-term rental,' or anything similar. Speaking to the concierge, asking for help, or announcing yourself as a guest will result in a 500 fine. Walk in confidently like you live here."It was clear we were expected to sneak into a building that does not allow short-term rentals. Most listing photos did not match the property and appeared across multiple units. We were told we could use the pool, gym, and shared spaces, but a security guard denied us pool access without passes. Usman claimed “other guests never had an issue with the pool,” blamed us, and never followed up.After our stay, this listing removed all mention of pool access. We overpaid for a misleading property with unusable amenities.

It was a beautiful place. The property was immaculate. There is very little street parking, but we did park in a nearby garage. The subway station is a short walk. The neighborhood is extremely safe and fairly quiet.

Overall, great stay. My initial concern was the street parking around the property because we had rented a car. However, that ended up being pretty easy. The unit was clean and had a great feel. The location was awesome. Walked down to the Charles River and drove over to Fenway and the North End. We loved our time. The host was super responsive.
