Lovely stay at the Durley Dean. Location is next to the beach and perfect for a walk to the pier. We also walked an hour to Sandbanks all along the beach path. Breakfast was tasty and plenty of choice

We booked this hotel for a birthday weekend. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with our stay. Hotel feels very dated. Our room was located in the lower level. To get to it we had to go through labyrinth of corridors and the smell of dump along the way was really bad. Size of the room was good and it had all basic facilities. On the downside it definitely could do with more cleaning. Carpet was covered in stains in several places, bedding as well. There was mould and limescale in few areas in the bathroom. Pictures of the swimming pool were really misleading. In reality it's really small. Three people in it and it feels crowded. Sauna and one shower in ladies changing room weren't working. Breakfast was really basic and lacking choices. If you're not a fan of full Eglish breakfast better look elsewhere. They also charge £15 for their parking. They only two good things about this place was their reception staff (they were really lovely and welcoming) and it's location. It's only few minutes away from the beach and short walk to the town centre.

The stay over, would have been better if you had seen the bed in 318 and on the 2nd night I fell off the bed and i got hurt and i liked the pool only.

The whole hotel was freezing. Our bathroom had no heating. The towels were thin and small. Parking was a nightmare. The coffee machine in the bar wasn’t working. Noisy in the corridors. The only positive was the staff were friendly but constantly apologizing.would not stay again.

Breakfast was nice and the service was good. Check in was poor with conflicting information on website compared to what we were told on reception. This is in regards to ID requirements. Have no idea why this hotel require a this. This is the only hotel I have ever stayed at where the bar closes on a Saturday night at 11pm. This is poor.

Big old hotel and we had a very nice room. Spa was disappointing as steam room not working (spa is important for us). 10 minute walk into town Centre which was great and we do love Bournemouth especially out of season. Overall very good value but do need all facilities to be available. We probably wouldn’t return as there are other options around but worth a go especially if spa not an important one for you.

I had the most awful experience. I paid in advance and called and they confirmed check in was 24/7. It was New Year’s Eve and we arrived at 1.40am. The man on reception said that there was no record of a booking and that they were fully booked. I showed my itinerary number he said there was nothing he could do. When I called Expedia the hotel said we were marked as a no show!!! Not only is this appalling but it is dangerous. Leaving a vulnerable woman with no where to stay on new year eve. The other hotels were all booked. Now I am fighting my right for a refund. I will be taking this much much further
