Shocking experience

I had no bed in my room, it was so unclean…. Messy & bad experience, next room was better, felt sorry for staff to cope with it, was such bad experience :(

This is my second stay at Novotel London Stansted, and I have to say it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Reception staff were helpful and polite. Room was clean, shower hot and bed comfy. Had an evening meal in the restaurant where all staff exhibited first class customer service, being friendly, chatty and interested. Evening meal was great and the bread & butter pudding with Creme anglaise desert absolutely divine. Breakfast was just as good and plentiful. Quick and easy checkout. Highly recommended.

Stayed here before a flight and parked for 3 days which was reasonably priced. Food in restaurant is overly priced for what is microwaved food. Garden at back needs a big tidy up. Rooms are outdated and need a revamp. Shuttle bus to airport is good priced at £4 per person each way

100% as expected and advertised. Rooms were great. Staff was friendly. Note that transfers to airport are not complimentary - at time of this review, we paid GBP4 each way, and it took 10 to 15 min to reach the airport.

Awful experience in Stansted today

Overnight stay with an early start for a flight from Stansted. The toilet would not flush at all. Kettle would not switch off when boiled. The handle therefore was extremely hot when trying to pick it off. Had to switch off power at the wall. I have previously stayed in numerous Novotel hotels and always had good experiences but this was one was so poor. Attention to detail and checking of rooms thoroughly was clearly not done in this instance. Has left me thinking that Novotel has just become a very downmarket hotel with no prestige as they used to have.
