Approach the property up a short set of outdoor stairs, then enter for an open-plan lounge/diner. This room is a comfortable spot for eating, relaxing and socialising and shows off the building’s past with a hint of exposed brick. To one side you’ll see a kitchen, compact and well equipped, perfect for making big meals for your group to enjoy. There’s also a family bathroom and two bedrooms: a twin with bunk beds and a double room. Head upstairs for the final bedroom, king-size with an en-suite and a balcony. The balcony overlooks the village and is a charming location to do a spot of people-watching or take a moment with a hot drink. Finally, look around the shared garden, where you’ll find spots for outdoor dining on fine evenings.
Croyde is a lovely coastal village with a few pubs and eateries around to keep everyone well-fed. Alternatively, try different ice creams on the beach, which is 1 mile away. It’s popular with surfers, and you can hire equipment and organise lessons if you like. If you prefer riding horses to riding waves, take a trip over to Woolacombe Riding Stables (5.5 miles) for hacks along the beach. Woolacombe is a great spot for cliff top walks, and if you climb to Morte Point (6 miles), you might be able to spot wild seals.
