Welcome to your private retreat, a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite located on the historic site of Brenham's first German Lutheran Church. You can still see original elements from the church, like the front steps, grounding your stay in local history.

While we stayed only one night, I highly recommend the property. We stayed in Two Step with two beds and two baths. It was a great size, beds were comfortable, all was clean. The property was in walking distance to a few restaurants. Michele went above and beyond in small touches that make you feel so pampered-like fresh cookies and blue bell ice cream in the fridge. It was absolutely lovely. Michele should train other owners on how to treat guests. Thanks Michele!

Great place to stay and the host is so sweet with little touches, but some quirks with the entrance door vs the hallway that make getting luggage in and out awkward. Hall bathroom lighting is definitely less than ideal. Very strong cleaning product smell the first day. Overall Would stay again.

What a lovely place! The space was clean, well-supplied, and the beds were quite comfy! This was a great place to stay after a long day in Round Top wandering among the antiques. Even the water pressure in the shower was great. Michele provided snacks and coffee and there was even ice cream in the freezer for us. And there was a lovely outdoor patio to sit in and enjoy the Texas spring evening. I hope to come back. Thank you Michele!!

Me and my friend stayed at the Two Step last night for a friend’s wedding in Chappell Hill. From the minute you walk in the door, it smells like home! The antique decor and the cute Christmas trees in all the rooms made it feel so warm and cozy. The bedding is out of this world, you don’t ever wanna get up! The host Michele was the BEST! After the wedding, we sat outside in the lovely backyard listening to the water fountains that were so serene.Michele came out of her part of the Brenham House and lit the tiki torches for us. 10/10 for a short or long stay! Happy Holidays!
