Staff was great, except I had to plunge my own toilet when it plugged after a not-excessive amount of TP. Room looked and smelled old. Like visiting a grandma that never bought new carpet in 50 years. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was not worth the trip down the elevator. I would stay again if I was passing through, needed something basic for over night and it was the cheapest.

Good. Better than it costs!

Nice, friendly, inexpensive. Spacious suite. Regular continental breakfast, but hot pockets and Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sausage made it better. Great coffee all say.

Trip to Tuscaloosa

This was our third time staying at The Gresystine Inn and it has been a nice experience each time. The only issue we had this time was that I reserved a room that was supposed to sleep 5 but got a room thag slept 4. However, the employees rectified this by providing a cot. They are very nice people. The area is quiet and not too busy being it is right off the interstate. We would definitely stay again.

A place to lay your head, nice staff but...

Are you afraid of the dark? If so, this is your hotel. There are room darkening drapes but they have seen better days and don't prevent the light from coming in at the top and bottom. We were never sure if the sun actually set or rose because the parking lot lights kept the room bright enough that one could easily move around the room even in the middle of the night. The bed was hard, the easy chair somewhat suspect. The TV never appeared to turn off? Light it would act like it did, but the screen was just always a lighter shade of gray and looked like it was on but didn't have a cable signal. Every door we passed looked like someone had taken a fist to it or kicked it. All the way up and down each door. Why? It looked sketchy. The staff was super nice but it's evident more of an investment needs to be made in the property. Being next to a Mercedes Benz plant we expected it to be nicer than it looked on the outside. It was a cheap stay, just didn't rest well. Don't know if we'll come back.
