Upon arrival, I found the bathroom to be in an unacceptable condition. It had clearly not been cleaned properly—there were bodily hairs all over the floor and covering the non-slip mat, which was extremely off-putting, especially as I was preparing to bathe my child. Additionally, the room itself was very dated. The bed sheets were torn, and the curtains were visibly dirty, which added to an overall sense of neglect and discomfort during our stay.

Absolutely the most comfortable beds ever!! I picked this hotel for its conveint location to the train station which is across the street. I grew up on a dead end street with train tracks at the end so train noises I can just filter out. If you require complete quiet you might want to request the other side of the hotel. Food is everywhere which is amazing only thing which is odd being from a country that has fridges in all hotel rooms was this one didn’t. Nor an ice bucket or ice, but perhaps it’s a cultural difference.
Train station is directly across from this hotel so if sensitive to noise ask to be on the side opposite to the station.

Not worth the extra expense

Handy for Brighton train station, but overpriced for room quality. Bath a nice addition but no fridge in Standard rooms which you would expect for £200 per night. Can also be noisy if over looking station car park. Window need sound proofing.

Just okay

Nice bar and resturant area- good food and drink options. The bar staff were great. The foyer and bar are really nicely decorated and gay friendly. Car park opposite with discount is helpful. All good points. Really, this should be a 3 star hotel. Hair on the toilet seat, stain on carpet, decor quite tired/budget in the room. Card key didn't work (repeatedly) for the elevator. Staff not that friendly at check in etc. Bar staff said you could charge drink to your room, but no-one at reception (including managment) knew how to organise this. Over all quite underwhelming and travel lodge or IBS (cheaper options) are just as good if not better. So okay, but not worthy of 4 stars in our experience.

Nice hotel but expensive parking

The hotel was generally very nice, close to the station and well within walking distance of city center. There was a good selection for breakfast and the dinner menu has a decent selection. Only issue was the hotel had no parking and therefore had to park at the station carpark opposite which was very expensive and paid for separately. Need to take the cost of this into consideration when booking the room.

Disgusting stains

The carpet in the room had massive, disgusting stains of goodness-knows-what, right next to the bed. To pay £94 and receive such an awful room is galling.

Staff was incredibly accomodating which is especially great as we had a 5y old with us. Always nice, rooms are clean and beds are comfy, easy to access as well & parking right in front (paid-for but worth it for a weekend). Train station 1 min walk away, highly recommend!
