Secluded private hilltop setting surrounded by 62 acre farm. 15 minutes from Cook Forest and Clear Creek State Parks and Clarion River. Free starter amount of firewood. Watch the beautiful sunsets while sitting around the campfire. There’s even a couple eagles that have moved in to the neighborhood…frequent sightings. If you’re looking for privacy and a relaxing stay with a beautiful view you can’t go wrong
The space
Our cabin sits atop a hill overlooking the surrounding landscape. Very private and secluded with natures beauty to relax with. Watching the birds fly as you look down at them is unique. The big sky giving you some breath taking views. 60 acres to hike and see the wildlife not to mention some of the best sunsets that you’ll ever see
Guest access
Plenty of space for parking or tents. Also upon request a visit to the horse barn for a close up encounter with the horses for those that may be interested
Other things to note
It is recommended that guests bring drinking water. The lane to the cabin is steep and a little bumpy so vehicle ground clearance is recommended. During the winter months 4 wheel drive may be necessary. As we have in a handful of times we offer parking and assistance to get to the cabin in extreme cases at no extra charge. The cabin is heated with a wood burner (firewood provided) and a supplemental propane fireplace in the bedroom.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, which features a fireplace. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a microwave. Conveniences include a coffee/tea maker and a sofa bed.

Wonderful, spacious, and clean cabin. The view from atop the mountain is stunning, especially the sunsets and stars. The cabin is close to Cook Forest and Clear Creek Park, so I was able to get in some hiking and sight seeing. Tom and Barb are great, attentive hosts. I'd love to stay here again.

Mountaintop Cabin Retreat

A great time with friends I've had for 52 yrs. Our fall get together went smoothly and we plan another trip in 2025 to see the beautiful leaves. Hosts were super nice and approachable.

Everything we needed

Property was very clean and inviting. We very much enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and the support offered by host to make sure we could keep it burning. Tom and Barb are welcoming hosts that offered ideas for our hikes that are well loved by locals.
