Great experience for a family trip. Internet is noy the fo us (and it shouldnt be) food options were mid, and bathroom fans are loud.
This was perfect for us! The cabin was clean and comfortable! Having access to the lodge, dining and the visitors center was a big selling point. Not having WiFi and spotty internet was actually great for quieting our minds and slowing us down a bit. If you have kids, think about bringing some outdoor games and activities to stay busy. We used the dining options several times during our three night stay and everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the quiet and darkness at night for star gazing!
Everything besides the room was great but the cabins are quite old -- probably vintage 1950s. But it was located in the heart of Mammoth Cave Natl Park so walking to the caves, restaurants and visitors center was effortless. Recommend it but don't think it's a Holiday Inn Express.
Clean and comfortable stay. Do be aware there is no TV or internet. This is a good place to disconnect from media for a little while. The Lodge has good food options and shopping.
Need to dust the ceiling fans. As a national
park cabin, it was above par. Location is the best. And great air conditioning when the temp in 90s outside cave.

Definitely could use a few updates on building structures (holes under and in doors), sticky traps in bathroom. Reminiscent of a bunkhouse at an old church camp.
All that aside, beds were SUPER comfortable, cabins were very clean, and staff was beyond helpful and super nice in every way.

A little outdated but very cute!
I loved the small cottages at the national park! These are cute, and have separate bedrooms with doors, bathroom and shower in between them. The only issue we had was the condition of the cottages, they are very out dated. A little paint and newer linens would go a long way to preserve these. The stars at night are amazing and the cave tours are just across the street. There are trails all around the visitors center, lots of wildlife as well.
Clean, simple cabin with nice linens and private bathroom. The history is honored with important upgrades - lots of outlets and a ceiling fan.

Loved being able to stay in the park. The woodland cabins were a perfect size for our family. Appreciated the lack of tech, made for a more rustic, national park visit. The AC in the woodland cabins was awesome and kept us 100% comfortable in late July heat wave temps. Bathroom setup is a smidge rustic but fits the vibe of the cabin. We really liked coming back after dinner and getting a firefly show each evening, plus the deer wandering near the visitor center and bats flying overhead. Only improvement requested is that the door to cabin 208 be repaired or replaced. It did not fully close on the bottom half and had significant gaps.

Nice welcome and easy check in. Great location and good restaurant on site.
We loved the area, can't get much closer to the park then IN IT! A/c got super cold. We loved the secluded cabins. 2 rooms, a bed for everyone and separated bathroom was a plus for everyone getting ready all together. Watched the fireflies from our private porch! 'Roughing it' with the comforts of home.
Beautiful setting but we did have mice running around in the night and actually caught one in a trap. Didn’t get much sleep because of the critters. This is understandable since it’s an older cabin with gaps near the foundation and doors.
