If I were the owner of this hotel, I would sue whoever designed the bathroom. The bathrooms have GLASS DOORS. there is no privacy. About 2 vertical feet of the door is frosted, however, when I was sitting up in bed, I had a direct and clear view of the toilet seat, bowl, and EVERYTHING. I stayed in the twin room with my dad. This was very uncomfortable. Even if I was staying here with my partner, I would not want this.
Also, the flow of the shower overpowers the drain speed so the bathroom will flood if you’re not careful.
The staff were apologetic but also this is a colossal issue that cannot be fixed over night. I would stay here again but only after they fixed this. Otherwise it was SO weird.
Lovely hotel with great breakfast buffet. Bed and bedding were super comfortable. Neighborhood okay but sights were within walking distance for those who like to walk. Located across from the lovely botanical gardens.
The staff made our stay very pleasant and comfortable as they were very friendly and helpful. Love their daily breakfast offerings. Location was perfect for my family and we walked to the city center almost daily.
I would just like to suggest an exhaust fan in the bathroom so as not to make the room so stuffy after each use. We stayed in a 1BR suite, and for some reason, the power turned off on all the rooms when we switched off the lights from the bedroom. This meant our son cannot use any power (lights, tv, outlet) from the separate room, without turning back on the master light. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Beautiful stay minus the bone-chilling cold shower
The Liman was a lovely hotel with great service at check in. The room was updated and spotless and had all the ammenties one would need. The bed was super comfortable and the walls sound proof - 5 stars across the board for the vibe, style, cleanliness and staff friendliness.
However, the water pressure and temperature in the shower were the absolute worst I have ever experienced in my life in a hotel. There was zero hot water and the bone-chilling ice-cold water that did come out of the spouts just trickled. Standing there and shivering while trying to splash ice-cold water on yourself after a long day of travel and sightseeing was not what I had in mind. And the shower looked so new and beautiful. I guess when one is expecting a spa-like experience and doesn't receive it, it's a matter of style over substance and it truly was the only downfall this hotel had.
In terms of the location of the hotel, I personally liked that it was a little outside the city center because the noise level wasn't bad at all and I had my window open a crack all evening. Also, I'm a city gal (born and raised in Chicago and have also visited and stayed extensively in NYC 4-5x a year for well over 20 years) so I didn't feel in harms way at all walking back and fourth to the hotel early in the morning or super late at night - but I guess if you're not used to a "city vibe" you may assume it's a rough area - it's not. Nobody bothers you and everyone just minds their business.
The room is spacious and clean. The hotel is very new and decor is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is quite good but poor environment downhill especially the train station.
The hotel is modern and overall great. Great matress. No noise. We slept well. The location is close to Metro Station Botanique. Bus 65/66 connect to Gare Central. We may have picked an odd weekend where the trash pick up in the neighborhood was delayed causing a pile up but the hotel felt like an upscale island there. Another odd thing is the glass doors in the bathroom, which have a rather narrow modesty strip. As our family doesn't have the habit of watching each other's business we had to coordinate to avoid awkwardness.
It was super clean and nice. Seems its a new hotel. They checked us in 1 hour earlier which was nice. As always pull out couch wasn't really comfy but it was ok. I would stay there again and will recommend others. Close to brussels nord and city center
