Not really worth the price paid.

The whole motel had a very damp musty smell about it probably due to the fact it was built over a river. The shower head was loose and dropped and we had to jury rig a method to keep it up whilst showering. Many of the power outlets didn't work.

Wonderful Watermill

Lovely stay, staff friendly and welcoming. Good knowledge of area and gave good advice on local walks. 10% off voucher given for pub across the road, which was excellent, and breakfast was lovely. Nothing too much trouble for staff and even had our case taken to our room (first time in a long time).

Nice stay but shower was lacking.

Whilst the room showed signs that it had recently refurbished, the bed was comfortable, room was a nice size. The water pressure for the shower was lacking, the rain shower was more like drizzle. Overall an enjoyable stay, staff were friendly and accommodating, the setting was lovely and breakfast was plentiful.

Very quiet, easy parking , nice staff, a little bit run down feeling. we booked an air conditioned room but were told on arrival that only some rooms were air conditioned and ours wasn’t one of them. However they did agree to change us to an air conditioned one. But the web site details should be made clear.

The rooms were very dated, carpets dirty, bathrooms dated and not cleaned properly, one of the rooms shower curtain had a big hole in it and the other room shower curtain was dirty, the mattresse were very worn and soft. Tv had the most basic channels avaiable again just basic. Resturant closed for evening meals. Broadband was poor. We wont be returning to this hotel again.

Staff were very polite and friendly. Few things I raised upon checkout which is just attention to detail on cleaning, overall very clean room. Plenty of parking, WiFi was on and off. Was hot weather, could open one window but not the other. Two pubs opposite where you could get some food. Overall I was happy with my visit at the price I paid, I would return.

The hotel itself could do with some upgrading, rooms need a mini fridge and bar doesnt offer rhe widest drink selection, but there is a pub across the road to make up for this. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming and this definitely added to what was overall a very pleasant place to stay for one night.

Very comfortable accommodation and relatively close to Berhamstead. Good gastro pub opposite hotel so it works very well for us visiting relatives and friends in Berkho.

The staff were very attentive and helpful so full marks to the staff. The room was clean and very quiet. The air conditioning didnt stay on, and kept flashing green in the night which meant we had to keep waking up to reset it. The property and furnishings were a little tired. The cooked breakfast was ok, but not hot enough which was made worse by being served on cold plates. The staff were definitely the best aspect of the hotel.
