Great location, walkable to all major attractions. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Breakfast offered a great choice and was tasty. Our room was large and the bed extremely comfortable. The only slight criticism we had was the hotel was very warm and our room was slightly too hot even with air con set to 19.

Lovely Hotel in a great location for getting around the City. Very clean and modern bedrooms and the atrium/reception area were stunning, retaining the feel of the original Haggenmacher Palace.The baggage locker facilities were very useful after check out allowing us to venture out for a full day in the City before an evening flight back home.

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 day/3 night stay at the Oktogon Haggenmacher to celebrate our wedding anniversary. First of all the hotel is visually stunning, the rooms are clean and well appointed too. We opted for a top floor double superior room with breakfast included. The breakfast itself was delicious with a wide selection of food available. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the Danube and surrounding attractions, I would suggest buying a city card as this allows you to use all of the trams, buses and metros - and the system is very good indeed. There are stops just outside the hotel so you really can get anywhere easily. Finally, the staff where friendly and helpful and their English, and other languages,were excellent. I would have no issues in recommending this hotel, thank you to all who made our stay so enjoyable.

Property is located really close to tram 4/6 as well as Metro 1. Easy to get around the entire city with those being so close, but is also walkable to everything within 30ish minutes. Property is really pretty especially the roof rooms that have basically glass wall/ceilings to look out over the city and also has a large blackout curtain to go over it. Also a lot of local bakeries/coffee shops right around it to try something new every morning. Did not try their breakfast as it seemed a little pricey.

I spent a week in this hotel, and I must say this was one of the most relaxing hotel experiences I have been to. The hotel is less than 5 minutes away from both Metro Stations and Trams, it is located around one of the most active areas of Budapest, surrounded by many dining options & retail stores. it is an excellent access point to get to any attraction around the city. The room and hotel environment is pretty quiet, there is no disturbance, quite the safe location and very comfortable rooms. I was also able to do a late check-in, letting the hotel know beforehand. At the check-in counter was Kornel, a very nice guy who has in detail, explained the available facilities, how to get to them and to my room, and provided me with brochures of available tourist attractions and travel group agents you can join to make the best out of your stay. Thank you. Also shoutout to Elena, who was taking care of my room service throughout my stay!
