Bulupitiya isn't regarded for being the accommodation capital of Sri Lanka, however the Gal Oya Lodge is close enough to the city centre to keep most travellers happy.
It is well known that Australians just love to relax, so consider extending your stay and check out the Royal Botanical Garden and Sri Dalada Maligawa, in Kandy, 80 kilometres to the west of Bulupitiya. Some of our recommended Kandy hotels are the Earl's Regency and Mahaweli Reach Hotel. 85 kilometres to the northwest of Bulupitiya you may also choose to stay at Polonnaruwa, which is home to the Hotel Sudu Araliya and Seyara Holiday Resort.
