We booked this hotel as both Crowne Plaza website and hotels.com advertised the hotel as having an EV charger, we had a 250 mile journey and arrived with 10 miles range left to be informed that the charger was no longer there and no available charge points within a 10 mile radius was free, because of this we had to cancel our restaurant booking for dinner and ordered a takeaway to be delivered to the hotel, I explained this to reception and asked if they could hold our takeaway when it was delivered for a few minutes whilst we tried to locate a charge point, the receptionist told me that wasn’t an option and the food would be refused and sent back, thanks for your understanding Crowne Plaza. Just to really make things comfortable we had a fire alarm at 5am on our last night/morning. We had multiple hairs in the bathroom when we arrived and dust and dirt was rife in the room, I have stayed at this hotel since it was opened but will not return, by far the worst hotel experience I have endured. The only saving grace with this place is the lovely breakfast staff who were always pleasant and nothing was too much for them.
