Principi di Butera, set on a plateau at an altitude of 350 m, enjoys a view as far as the eye can see over the boundless expanses of vineyards that unfold on the horizon. The property is located in an enchanting position in the centre of a historic farm estate belonging to noble Sicilian families. On the estate, which covers about 320 hectares of vineyards and produces 12 quality wine labels, it is possible to book tours to learn about the entire cycle of wine production, as well as tastings and typical cooking courses. The house available to guests is located within the estate with reserved areas that include a delightful borgo where you can enjoy the cool guaranteed by a constant breeze and breathe the air scented with jasmine and orange blossom. The interior evokes an elegant atmosphere, the seven bedrooms, with private bathroom, enjoy direct access to the external living areas, the living areas are embellished with refined antique furniture and works of art and open out onto the external dining area and the garden dotted with olive trees. The beautiful swimming pool in a panoramic position, with counter-current swimming (and with the possibility of being heated) will offer moments of fun and relaxation in a context that guarantees areas of privacy and conviviality. The property is located in a zone of great historical interest: less than an hour's drive from archaeological sites dating back to the 5th century BC such as Morgantina and the splendid polychrome mosaics of Villa del Casale in Piazza Armerina. The municipality is Mazzarino, an authentic town little known to tourists with a beautiful historic centre and numerous churches, with shops for daily shopping, restaurants and bars. About 20 km away is the coast that varies between sandy beaches and rocky areas, Licata being the heart of the maritime area as well as a tourist port where you will find numerous restaurants where you can sample fresh fish. N.B. One wing of the house, with independent entrance and garden located at the front of the house, is occupied by the caretakers, very friendly and helpful people who take care of the garden and the swimming pool with discretion and courtesy. Here you will find the restaurant of the estate where occasional functions and events are held. The appurtenances of the house with its large garden and swimming pool are for the exclusive use of guests.

Interior:
The complex develops according to a typical structure that is historically defined as a "courtyard house", consisting of a main body and a separate annex (located opposite), both on just one floor, made up of various units organized around a central courtyard where all the various entrances are located and which is accessed through an antique wrought iron gate covered with coloured bougainvillea, lemons and fragrant jasmine. MAIN BODY. Crossing the courtyard, you come to the main entrance which leads into a hallway that continues to the elegant living room and dining room. The living room leads to the back of the house with an external dining area offering a magnificent view of the swimming pool and the surrounding countryside. Connected to the dining room is the Sicilian-style, fully-equipped kitchen with coloured majolica tiles. From the hallway, which also leads to the laundry room and a guest bathroom, a corridor leads to the sleeping area with two double bedrooms with private bathroom with shower and wardrobe area and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower and tub. ANNEX. Located in front of the main body, it is composed of four double suites (two of which with sitting room) with private bathroom with shower, all with independent access and not communicating internally. One of the suites has a living room with kitchenette. All the suites have direct exit via a French window to the outdoor relaxation areas.

Park:
The 7000 sq m of terrain surrounding the house lies within an area of 320 hectares of vineyards. The park around the house consists of a lawn dotted with majestic olive and prickly pear trees but there are also delicate roses, fragrant jasmine, colourful bougainvillea and, inside the baglio (in Sicily, a courtyard house), an unusual lemon vine. The baglio around which the rooms revolve is a delightful space to relax. At the back of the house, overlooking the pool, is the terrace where you can dine outdoors. A large parking area is available.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:
The pool area is located on the same level as the house, which is about 15 m away, and can be reached across the lawn behind the house. From here you can enjoy a view of the rolling hills of the surrounding countryside. The rectangular pool, measuring 6 x 12 m with the depth varying from 1,20 to 1,40 m, is lined in PVC with a stone border beyond which extends the lawn dotted with olive trees. The pool has chlorine purification and brick steps for access to the water. Upon request on site, the pool can be heated and activated for counter-current swimming at no additional cost. On the surrounding lawn are sunbeds, umbrellas and a solar shower. The pool is open all year round.

Pets: Yes, up to medium size. € 50,00 per animal per week. Acceptance of animals to the facility must be previously authorised by the owner upon communication of the number of animals, size and breed.
