From Positive Latitude OBX's panoramic sound views and incredible sunsets to the organic wetland grasses, this custom 3,800-square-foot home will satisfy your soul. Drive down the lane to the end, and enter the home via the under-house entryway. You'll have elevator access and locking storage to take advantage of. Two outdoor showers, a half bath, and a fish-cleaning table are all conveniently located next to the driveway and water access. (note in colder months the outdoor showers and bathroom are winterized). NEWLY ADDED - a boat slip is available for your use! Just purchased it for our own private use & for that of our guests. The channel is shallow and needs to be dredged so that is next on our list - it is very sandy and clear though!

The first-floor game room has sound-side deck access, foosball and pool tables, an LCD TV, a Play Station 3, a surround-sound stereo, a kitchenette that includes a full fridge with an ice maker and a half bath. The second floor has two sound-front king master bedrooms with deck access, one has handicapped bath features. A third bedroom has two bunk beds, one with a full and twin on top and the other with two twins. The fourth bedroom has waterfront deck access. All have full en suite bathrooms.

Convenient to all are the laundry and office nook. Enjoy the hot tub located on the waterfront screened porch. The large third-level great room welcomes you with comfortable upscale furniture, an LCD TV with firestick and DVD player with stereo surround sound, and cozy fireplace seating. Cooking is a joy in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen featuring a six-burner gas cooktop, a large refrigerator, two dishwashers, and a bonus under-counter fridge. There is a keurig coffee maker, breville espresso machine and also a regular coffee maker. The large center prep island is the perfect place to gather with family and friends and is open to the dining area which has spectacular views of the Pamlico Sound. Relax and watch the sunset on the spacious deck or from the picnic table on the screened porch. The fifth bedroom opens to a waterfront deck. Head up the steps to the observation tower with a view of the lighthouse to read or nap on the cozy daybed. Bikes and kayaks provided, so take a bike ride to the lighthouse, shops, and restaurants located nearby, or just relax and get back to nature with the exquisite home!

This was our first trip to the soundside. It is very quiet and relaxing. We came mid April and the weather was perfect. The owner is very nice and response quickly, she even let us know the house was ready for earlier check-in. This house was more than we expected. The decor is perfect and filled with little treasures to give it "personality". It is very clean and stocked with everything you need in the kitchen and throughout the entire house. We brought some things from home that they already had there. The elevator is ideal for getting luggage, etc up instead of carrying it up flights of stairs. There is plenty of sand free parking. The grass area was ideal for our little dog Gracie. There were no spurs/thorns that poke her or get stuck in her fur.The furniture and beds were all very comfortable.There is plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and have your own space. They provided many games, even our favorite Rummikub, and a fun game room which we enjoyed.The area of Buxton is filled with charm and offers plenty of places to grab dinner and cute little shops. We highly suggest Apple Uglies from Orange Blossom. There are numerous beaches for us shell seekers, and many opportunities to learn the history of Buxton. It's a short drive to catch the ferry to go to Ocracoke. It was easy to fall in love with this area. We highly recommend Positive Laditude! Great hosts, beautiful home, and lots of entertainment. We had a wonderful stay at Positive Latitude. The main room was very comfortable and gave us room to spread out with great views of the sound. The kitchen was well equipped and we especially enjoyed the Fisher-Paykel dish drawers- allowing us to run smaller loads as dishes were used. The elevator was a godsend for arrival and departure. We couldn’t figure out the espresso machine but there’s a close by coffee shop for cappuccino. Biggest complaint was that Sometimes we couldn’t get hot water for showers. But overall the place was so nice we are already planning our return!

Amazing

I have stayed in a lot of Vrbo properties, and none have come close being as perfect and beautiful as this one is. Our family was comfortable and we had a great time. Groceries, gas, car wash, and restaurants all close by. The elevator was a great addition as my hubby and I both have mobility issues. One of the king suites even has an accessible shower. The beautiful scenic views from one of the many decks was awesome and they even caught fish right from the sound. If we were ever in the area again we would definitely stay with them again!

Love this beautiful home! Has everything you would want or need. The decorated Christmas tree was beautiful and we added more decorations this year. Wish we could return next year but we can’t. Who ever rents it will love it!

Absolutely perfect!

This house is truly amazing! The water views from all of the windows are incredible along with the various decks that offer sun or shade comfort. Absolutely amazing sunset views every night that you can enjoy from the living room windows or step out to the deck. We loved the screened porch and the hot tub after a day at the nearby beach. The description of this house is exactly as it is. Extremely clean, comfortable beds, great kitchen and beautifully decorated just to mention a few. The host was extremely responsive and we appreciated how she thought of everything in this well stocked house for the comfort of her guests. Great for families of all ages. We loved using the kayaks and took the bikes to the nearby bakery one morning. Very close to supermarket and ice cream shop too! We loved our stay at this house and look forward to coming back!

Just Book It

This was our 11th different waterfront stay in three years, and although we thoroughly enjoyed them all, this may be the first house we repeat because it was absolutely excellent--you also cannot beat the off season pricing. A view from EVERY room, the best communication with the owner, and everything you could need at the house. The only issue we had in early March was restaurants being closed as well as local fishing piers, but Avon is close and we ate there after exploring the Hatteras lighthouse (lighthouse is closed for restoration for several more years, but the gift shop and museum are opened). The beach at the lighthouse is nice, but visit Frisco beach for shells and real bathrooms. A lovely stay in a gorgeous house on the Pamlico Sound and minutes from the ocean, it doesn't get any better!

Great place to get away!!

We had a wonderful vacation. This big, beautiful house has a great open kitchen and living room where we spent a lot of our time. The views are great from the decks on all levels. We also had a fun time playing pool and foosball in the game room. And there is plenty of space to spread out if anyone just needs a little time alone. Also, the owner was quick to respond to any questions we had.
