The room was clean and spacious and facilities on point plenty of place to charge things up, staff where amazing and reception ladies made us feel very welcome. Shame about the yuppie types stood outside our window at six this morning chatting and giggling
A weekend away to celebrate my wife's birthday, the hotel is only a few minutes walk into the town centre. The pool was great for a good swim and had a great nights sleep. It is an old hotel but to me it has character, the breakfast was ample and all the staff where helpful and accommodating, can not fault anyone they were all great.
Staff all very friendly and helpful. But no running cold water in sink tap, had run out of milk cartons so had to go get milk in jugs from downstairs when you want a drink, and pillows were v flat, with no spares to have 2.
The pool was excellent the children loved that , the room we stayed in 237 was very decorated 1970s and not modern , also the kettle was tiny and the TV honestly was like a 12 inch TV fitted to the wall far away from the bed , so was a struggle to watch
Apart from that it was good , close to town which is great for shops and food , and Chinese lady on reception was really lovely and helpful with timetables xx

Our room was very small and the small bathroom was up four steps. The dining room was old fashioned so we didn’t dine there. The swimming pool looked great.
Lovely hotel, great reception area. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good. Room was dated.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Hotel main areas nice and modern, reception, bar and restaurant. Room we had was clean and comfortable, but in need of an update and refresh. Comfy bed though.
on the whole i enjoyed my stay
my evening meal was excellent and the waitresses and bar staff exceptional
The room could have been better
A really small tv.No shelves in the bathroom or shower to put any toiletries etc..
The switch for the bathroom was on the door as you came in so not ideal in the night if you needed to go to the bathroom
The pool was nice although a little cold
Lovely hotel, stunning pool & communal areas.
Staff were really helpful and welcoming, accommodated us with a dog. Ate in the bar in the evening & very nice food, breakfast also nice - they sorted a dog friendly table in the lounge which was greatly appreciated.
Room was a bit dated & uncomfortably hot but it was a heatwave. Very spacious, comfy beds & good storage.
The hotel had a lot of character (it was old!) but no air-conditioning in the family rooms we booked (we visited in the middle of the heatwave) but they did give some fans which were useless really. There were facilities to make hot drinks but no fridge! It's located close to town and there is an Asda opposite! Parking was ok but tight in most areas. We stayed there during our Snowdon climb, the Snowdon mountain railway station was around 20 minutes away. Restaurants were close by, within 5 minutes (walking).
Good service, good food but rooms were dated and very hot due to the lack of air conditioning

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Receptionist that checked us in was friendly and professional. The hotel was in the right location for us.
Everywhere was clean. The communal areas and leisure have had a refurb recently.
There's scaffolding outside so it feels like the are investing in maintaining and improving.
Our room was clean but we felt quite basic for the cost. The TV was really small, the sockets were across the room not bedside (not ideal for my nebuliser) The lights for the bathroom not at the bathroom door but across the room. No Aircon or fan in the room.
We were out an about for the most part but if we had been planning to spend more time in a room, we would have been disappointed.
