I stayed in the main house and really enjoyed my time there.
Communication before my arrival was good and I was welcomed by Steve when I arrived at reception Friday afternoon, my room was clean, tidy with fresh towels and soap/shampoo etc. etc.
There was a group of people there who'd obviously booked to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, this place is ideal if you're looking to do something similar, loads of room, a barbeque, outside seating.
Breakfast I skipped on both days as I was having an early lunch, but the food looked delicious.
Forgive my spelling, 'Lowsee' at reception was very helpful, nice to see such happy staff.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The stay starteThe roomwas clean and warm the bathroom was nice and modern. But unfortunately the main light kept coming on and off so I decided to just use the wall lights. Breakfast was OK not to my liking but I’m not a breakfast person
A hotel that felt a little deserted . No Tv or tea & coffee tray in the room which was very small. Few staff and rarely seen. This hotel does have potential.
Secluded and serene, this beautiful property was the perfect choice for our trip. Staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast was outstanding, and grounds are just gorgeous. I highly recommend!
It was very poor. There was no one to greet us, no reception area and the twin room was cobbled together by splitting a double bed. There was no TV, no kettle, the beds were awful, there was little or no toilet roll in the bathroom. The hanging rail was fitted so poorly that it was impossible to use the only plug in the room!
Amazingly there had been fortunes spent on decoration and furnishings throughout the hotel when concentrating on the basics was needed. The breakfast was very limited with a ‘do you want it or not’ approach. All the cereals were supermarket saver brands as was the tea, coffee and juice.
Must do better!!!!!

Liked: Staff & service
Wonderful quiet setting, transport needed. Caters more for large groups.
No coffee/tea/tv in rooms but available in communal area.
Plas Y Bryn manor Hotel has sadly passed its hay day .
On arrival it feels sad and run down . This stunning building is full of cheap interiors and lacks any soul . Arriving in our room ..there was a horrible smell . Beds very narrow ..not worth the money Im sad to say . I do wish them well as the property its self is lovely .
The room was tiny and unpleasant, nothing like the spacious one seen on the website. The only positive was that the shower was very good and the bed quite comfortable. The remainder were in he negative. Not a pleasant stay for me.
This is an interesting place! The room was clean and comfortable, you just need to bring your own toiletries. The property has a lot of space to lounge and hang out, including nice outdoor tables to enjoy the sunset, and even has an indoor shuffleboard table. The staff was very nice and will make you eggs for breakfast. The property was great for hiking in Snowdonia. The property has a bit of a long driveway so it's not very walkable to restaurants/food stores but it's a very short drive to get food.
Our stay resembled a hostel stay rather than a hotel. Basic room, single beds on wheels moved, no to, no hand towels, corridor light beamed around door frame all night, thin walls and ceilings mean you can hear everything. Car park too small. Sides of hotel resembled a halfway house rather than a hotel, rubbish and dilapidated vehicles scattered the floors around the building sides. Breakfast was basic, tub of margarine for all to share and one big table. Was fine for what we needed it for but twice the price of what a private room at a hostel would be but similar standard.
Arrived not good impression rubber jigsaw tiles made up the flooring, shown to the bedroom no carpet on floor and had two single beds the linen of which was different on each bed,one of the fitted sheets had blood on it had to ask for that to be changed no hand towels just bath ones accompanied by two small bottles of shampoo no hand soap.Doubt very much if the bathroom had been cleaned has half a bottle of shampoo was still in the shower cubicle from previous occupants.Only one tv in the downstairs area which had to be shared with all guests has no tv in rooms and only has one big table in the dining area .View from our room overlooked the back yard which had old tables and old fridge freezers unit all in all not impressed in fact was prepared to leave straight away and look for somewhere else but wife prevailed and we stayed.Must say it was more like a hostel then a hotel
Check in was terrible could find my booking and showed me laptop screen and it was right there. Got to the room it was dirty no tv kettle was in poor condition my double was two singles that kept spreading. No eating facilities or bar so had to walk to the nearest town. My view was of a caravan’s out the window.
Exterior and entrance very impressive, although does have a difficult access road. Inside was superficially grand. Bedrooms were extremely small and no facilities or TV.
On arrival we were greeted by a lady on the phone who continued her chat loudly whilst showing us to our room, there was very little customer care throughout our stay. It is a shame as the venue has great potential to be an exceptional hotel but I will not be going back any time soon.
After reading reports regarding cleanliness prior to arriving we were a little concerned, however our room was spotless and the beds were massive!! Beautiful bathroom and shower was wonderful.
Know one around when we eventually got into hotel, no reception? Had to phone to tell them we were there, told us it was self check in ? Asked our mane and told us our room number and key would be in the door and breakfast at 7-30. Got to room and immediately saw it had not been cleaned since last client. Rang him back and was told to go to another room. This room was a family room, which was not a problem, had dirty towels in bathroom but at least the beds were tidy and had clean towels on the beds. Breakfast was ok and full English offered but you could make changes to that if you required. Having said all this we were there to walk up Snowden and the hotel was ok for our purpose, no television in room but large tv downstairs to watch and although no evening meal could be had of a nice wine. So lucky enough we brought our own. And the local public house had very good food. The owners who we mainly saw at breakfast time were very nice, it’s just a pity they can not see the scope of there premises and the small amount of attention needed to take it into 3 or 4 star bracket.
