Book Cairo hotels

There are very few accommodation options in or around downtown Cairo, so be sure to book at your earliest convenience if you're planning on staying in a central Cairo hotel.

The Quality Inn is a popular hotel pick here as there's not a tonne of choice. It's only a hop, skip and a jump to the CBD.

The Quality Inn Charleston can be found 20 kilometres from the centre of Cairo. Or, alternatively, the Super 8 Charleston MO can be found 17 kilometres away. Alternatively, you could book a bed at the Americas Best Value Inn or the Quality Inn.

The broader Southern Illinois area is worth seeing as well. Nature lovers will appreciate Southern Illinois's rural landscapes and rolling hills. In addition, you should explore the area's farms. Visitors in this fabulous part of United States of America can also enjoy rock climbing, hiking and abseiling.

45 kilometres to the east of Cairo you'll find Metropolis, where you can spend the day enjoying the Superman Statue and Harrah's Metropolis. If you'd like to visit Metropolis, be sure to check out the Holiday Inn Express Metropolis and Super 8 Metropolis. Or, you could consider staying in Carbondale, 75 kilometres to the north of Cairo, where you can pick from the Best Western Saluki Inn and Quality Inn Carbondale. If you're staying in Carbondale, set aside some time to visit the Southern Illinois University and Hickory Ridge Public Golf Center.

Just because you are travelling in Southern Illinois, doesn't mean you can't enjoy your obsession for sports. Rent One Park is situated 80 kilometres to the north of Cairo.
