I would have liked to give a rating of 5 stars, and I feel they could deserve 5 stars…IF they did not try…and well in one sense succeed in a “bait & switch” of the room I reserved and what I received upon arrival.
All in all…I will give the registration staff (Sofia and Suzzane) I interacted with 5 stars…for what occurred in my reservation and stay with them was not in “their” personal control. For what occurred with the “bait & switch” starts with the owners and management…and they as front line staff are there to check people in and ensure their overall stay is the best available!
The reason for my “bait & switch” comment is due to what I reserved online via hotels.com, was far from the room I was presented with. The room reserved was a superior twin room with pictures showing a large room with a beautiful balcony and view of the lagoon/ocean. However the room received was later told to me that this is actually what is the superior twin room. I took screen shots of what I reserved to a picture of what I received and it was far from what I reserved. I was told the pictures on the website signifying the superior twin room was actually of a “suite”, which they only have two of, yet NO actual way to reserve a “suite” via the website (only by calling in or emailing them). Yet never having been there before…how would I know this? So yes…be careful when booking a superior twin room when all you will get is a “basic” room and not what is pictured online.
