Loved my stay at Alt. Front desk lady was lovely to deal with each time I had a request or question. The room was quiet, super comfy bed and nice and clean. The area had lots of great food options, very newly built area. The few minor negatives: the toilet paper is so rough and thin it’s like gas station tp. The towels are plenty, but also feels like sandpaper. For such a nice hotel, you’d think they’d have better quality paper and towels. And the bathroom only has one single hook to use. Having a few more would be handy.

Modern hotel in a convenient location

Easy check in, secure underground parking, lots of restaurant options down the street and good access to the U of C and Olympic Oval. The hotel is a newer building, very clean and modern.

Hotel was beautiful. Fresh and modern. The room was clean and very practical. I quite enjoyed my stay. Definitely note - parking is $20/night, and the rooms have a Nespresso machine but no fridge or microwave.

Fantastic quick stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic, not too far off Hwy 1 and in a walkable shopping and dining area near the University. The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were new and clean, and extremely well thought out in their design (lots of hooks, lots of storage space in the bathroom, etc). Nespresso machine in the room. The atmosphere is cozy and modern. There is no mini fridge but they were able to store our leftovers downstairs with a claim ticket. Parking is underground in a well lit garage. Will absolutely stay here again.

Aesthetically it’s a great hotel. If you’re also looking for practicality on amenities hotels in Canada typically provide (fridge in room, sink aside from bathroom sink) likely not the hotel for you. Though we were notified you can have a room with a fridge if you stay for a longer duration.

The hotel is great, nice and new so that always helps make for a nice stay. Rooms are modern and thoughtfully planned out. Example, simple sturdy coat and bag hangers by the door. Lighting is important to me, the rooms are ambiantly lit, which creates a relaxing and cozy feel. There are many convenient businesses within a 5 minute walk including some good restaurants. Nice coofee shop and bakery across the street as well as a grocerry store. There is a pharmancy just a 5 min walk away as well. The Children's Hospital of Alberta is beside the hotel and there is a great shopping mall, Market Mall a five minute drive away. There is a fitness center but no whirpool/pool. I travel across Canada for work, I can take or leave a pool, but i do enjoy the relaxing effects of a whirlpool. It is an amenity I search for and was aware they didn't have. So this didnt affect my rating.
