Decent Long Stay – 3 Stars We stayed in a basement room for a week. The room was clean and decent overall. The bathroom had lots of counter space, but the toilet was very small and awkwardly close to the door. Shower was clean but weird to turn on. We had to ask for more shampoo/conditioner since the bottles were tiny. There were no stairs—only a very slow elevator that sometimes took 3 minutes just to get down to the basement. The room above us was extremely noisy, with kids running and yelling so loudly the walls shook. Not the hotel’s fault, but soundproofing could be better. The staff were friendly and helpful, but some guests were very inconsiderate. One let their toddler walk around with a cup of orange juice, which spilled all over the elevator and halls. There was often water on the floor too, though staff cleaned it up quickly. Beds were fine. The small TV only had basic channels. There was a mini fridge (no freezer) and no microwave. Didn’t use the AC or pool, but there was a laundry room available. Breakfast was basic: eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, yogurt—more variety would be nice. Parking was tight on the sides but manageable, with more space in the back. Overall, a decent stay for a week with a few frustrating parts.

Due to some inconveniences, we had to move rooms twice. The first room was very untidy. There were lots hair on the beds and a big wet stain in front of the fridge on the floor. This was giving off a moldy smell. The 2nd room’s thermostat wasn’t working, making the room hot and steamy. The 3rd room…at that point we were just so tired, we just stayed in it.

Would like it if they switched up the breakfast. Stayed 4 days and same breakfast everyday. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Limited parking. Hot tub needs a bit of repair. Other than that, it was quiet, staff was attentive, and we had a nice stay during our trip. Just a bit dated, but for the price its to be expected. Would probably stay again.

We were in the basement. Walls are thin. Heard someone snoring in the room above us Hot tub was Luke warm and not clean. Elevator is painfully slow Daily breakfast was meh Probably would look for a different hotel next time

The staff at the front desk were superb at meeting our needs during our stay. The location of the hotel in terms of the close proximity to the Emerald Hotel, that we know from experience is a govt funded hotel that provides housing to people facing housing issues. It is sandwiched in between a Semi-trucking yard, and a used car dealearship. We immediately noticed how dirty the carpets were in our room, something that we have not been exposed to staying in Comfort Inn suites across North America. We are used to a higher level of cleanliness with the Comfort Inn chain of hotels. The price was fair for the room, considering the location within an industrial area. We were very happy with the friendliness of the staff and how helpful they were during our stay.

Worst place to stay

1. The room was terribly kept. Carpet wasnt clean. The sofa had stains. The bathroom tub and floor had cracks. The carpet at the door was tapped. 2. The shole main floor reeked of chlorine. It was so nauseating, When asked the front desk person outrightly denied and mentioned the rooms are fine. Would not chnage the room. 3. The tap water wasnt drinkable. Although the front desk person repeatedly said it was safe to drink. 4. Requested a vaccum clean and the service worker seemd so anniyed. barely spend 20 sec and we had to show her spots to vaccum. 5. Towels were filthy. Had spots on them and reeked of bleech. some had red spots.

This property has an active Cockroach infestation. We seen live cockroach during the morning in our room crawling up the wall. Hotel is dirty, cockroaches are nocturnal and active at night. It was morning when my kids seen the roach on the wall. Pictures were taken and roach was examined by hotel staff whom didn’t look surprised. Bug was left with front desk staff whom confirmed it was a cockroach. Hotel manager only offered a free night stay for future but we will never stay in this hotel again. Active cockroach’s during the day shows bad infestation. Disgusting as my kids have asthma and those bugs cause respiratory issues. We stayed 3 days before we seen a bug. Wrecked our entire Easter holiday with family and caused financial hardships because we have to travel home early and have all our belongings treated.
