Familiar Territory

I have stayed at the hotel many times. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are excellent, and consistently so. Some of the lounge furnishings are a little careworn and seven or so odd years after opening, they could be replaced while the range of spirits on the bar could be wider. But as a place to stay the connections are excellent.

Great stay

Very friendly staff, everything spotlessly clean, great shower, comfy bed, very good breakfast selection. Hotel is convenient for the train and buses into Cambridge. I attended a meeting and the conference room facilities and catering were excellent.

Great Hotel but not the best night sleep

Hotel was clean and modern, as the weather was fine it felt bright, sunny and airy. Swimming pool small and a tad chilly but still a lovely modern space, with a sauna, obviously full of families if you go on a Saturday but fine for us, it really made it a fun trip for the kids. Hotel room was nice but the sofa bed for the kids was hard and not divided evenly in two so one child had a really slim hard bed to sleep on (the back of the sofa) so we had a terrible night sleep, I ended up having to sleep on it, then the alarm went off on the tv at 6.30am which was really rather upsetting!! It would have been a brilliant stay if not for the bad night.There are regular buses into Cambridge from outside the train station so very well situated.

Nicely located close to Cambridge. Situated next to Cambridge North station so good train links. Car park £15 charge per day. Hotel is modern and airy but felt all a bit informal with no real reception desk & staff on laptops. Stayed 2 nights but had no room cleaning which was disappointing. Pool was nice & kids enjoyed using it. Breakfast had nice selection but cooked breakfast was very very greasy. Generally a nice stay but for the price didn’t feel like anything amazing.

Disappointing stay

Ordered room service at 9:52pm only to be told that the kitchen closed at 9:45pm despite the fact it was advertised as 10pm on the room service menu. You could thne only order Pizza from 11pm... so for some reason you can order anythign between 9:45pm and 11pm... but then was told the ovens were being cleaned and so earliest I could order was 2am! Complete stupidity and makes zero sense. The pool area, changing rooms and sauna was disgustingly dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned in ages, and was full of kids.

Valentine getaway

Hannah helped me plan our Valentine getaway, and she was amazing with sorting out flowers, which I got delivered there. She also decorated the bed with petals and swans. The service was exceptional. The only small improvement we would like to suggest is regarding the swimming pool. It was hard to find, so maybe add a sign for the pool along with the current signs. Additionally, there were only a few chairs to sit around the pool, so perhaps consider adding more. Lastly, the showers outside the sauna did not work properly as the shower heads were partially blocked.
