I recently heard about this new hotel and was amazed by its high review score. Expecting excellent service, I decided to celebrate my wife's birthday there. My initial concern was the cleanliness of the bathroom. Although it wasn’t completely terrible, I noticed dirt in the tub and around the drain. Additionally, the room provided only one bathrobe—even though it was meant for two. It’s ironic that the hotel offers a late 4:00 PM check-in and an early 11:00 AM check-out; the five-hour gap is clearly insufficient for proper cleaning. There was no hygiene kit, but that wasn’t the biggest issue during my stay. Feeling tired, I chose not to contact reception to request a room change. Later, I visited the pool at 9:30 PM, which was open until 10:00 PM. Despite the late hour, the pool area was crowded with children since the hotel does not offer any adults-only hours. The area was extremely noisy, with kids running around, and one child even got sick and vomited near the pool. I also discovered that some of the pool users were not even hotel guests. When I returned to my room, I found a hole in the balcony door. Although it had been patched with some form of insulation, a cold draft still seeped through, and it was very difficult to open or close the door without risking injury. To add insult to injury, I later realized that the hotel charged me an extra 20–30 CAD. This property would have easily rec'd a full 5 star rating, however there is a discrepancy between the advertised resort fees and what I was charged on check out. Expedia listed as $25 per night, I believe I was charged $40 per night. The location is great, located beside the Campbell River Golf Course. Staff were all very friendly and the property sells itself as one of the finest in Campbell River. I would highly recommend this location for anyone visiting Campbell River.

The Naturally Pacific Resort is an excellent choice if looking for a place to stay. The staff is very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. All large, comfortable rooms have balconies with either ocean or golf course views. The onsite restaurant is wonderful with a varied menu. We did not take advantage of it, but the Immersion Spa and Wellness facility looks like it would provide you with excellent Spa services. There is a nicely equipped fitness center available as well. The grounds are expansive and beautiful with a large number of covered seating areas, most with gas fire pits. Large indoor pool with an outside seating area with hot tub. If you golf, the Campbell River Golf Club is adjacent to the hotel. Free on-site parking. We would highly recommend the Naturally Pacific Resort!

A Hidden Gem on Vancouver Island

Our stay at Naturally Pacific Resort was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the stunning natural beauty surrounding the property — beautiful mountain views, fresh ocean air, and a peaceful ambiance that immediately set the tone for relaxation. The resort strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort. The rooms were immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with modern amenities while still maintaining a cozy, West Coast charm. And the two dog washing stations made it super dog friendly! Every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. Whether it was dining recommendations, activity suggestions, or simply a friendly chat, their hospitality went above and beyond. Dining at the resort’s restaurant was another standout experience. The dishes were creative, fresh, and delicious — clearly crafted with attention to local ingredients and flavors. The culinary team truly showcased the best of Vancouver Island’s bounty. The location also makes NPR a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area, from outdoor adventures like hiking and kayaking to charming local shops and cafes. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat or an active getaway, this resort offers the best of both worlds. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already dreaming about our next visit. This property served our purpose well, we stayed two nights and a driving tour north of Campbell River. We liked the property, staff etc. but found it a little surprising how many dogs were staying at the Resort over Easter weekend. Some dog owners of course, need a little discipline but hardly the Resort's issue. No heated floor in the bathroom, which seems off the mark. Also, it would be difficult for highway Coaches to drop or pick up here. The parking lot is not designed for large groups arriving and departing that way.
