I stayed one night at this hotel in late April as I was meeting my daughter in Calgary.
I requested a room upgrade to a room with a Jacuzzi tub. I also asked that I have a room higher up in the building to avoid the street noise.
The room (818) was small and somewhat awkward as the tub is immediately as you walk in and the rest of the furniture is crammed on the other side of the room. The bathroom is also small and very dated. The bed was very comfortable and I was provided with bathrobes and slippers.
However window is very small and the “view” is of a concrete wall and faces an office building such that I could not open the drapes without being fully visible.
As well the soundproofing is nearly nonexistent as all night long I was woken up by the sound of doors opening and shutting even though I was wearing earplugs.
My daughter’s room had a nice view of the city and a nicer bathroom. Having a jacuzzi tub seems to be the only “upgrade” I was provided and given the view and the noise I don’t feel it was worth the additional cost.
