First the staff at this hotel is very good, except for the moody server at the restaurant who wears a rash guard every day and has slight grey hair. He was in a bad mood every day... but everyone else was great. When we first pulled up and walked into the hotel both my wife and I thought...what a dump..looks like giant motel 6. This is probably one of the oldest/worst kept hotels in Cancun. The pictures they use to advertise this hotel are completely misleading. The hotel check in lobby has chips all over the wood and looked run down. The entry to the hotel looked like you were walking into an old Mexican bathroom. The walls were dirty, rusted, and paint pealing off everywhere. The floor and everything else looked like they hadn't been redone since the hotel was built probably 50 plus years ago. Our room had tiny stairs that looked like something a hobbit would have in their house, making it very difficult to get the luggage to the room. The toilet wouldn't flush for three days and you can't even flush toilet paper so your bathroom stinks always because you have to put poopy paper in your trash. The hotel doesn't even give you drinking water. You have to buy your own water. The brick around the pool has holes everywhere and is not safe to walk on. This place would never pass a safety inspection in the USA. No wonder why there are no Americans staying at this hotel. The decent restaurant, beachfront, staff, and good security are its only redeeming qualities.

The property is old, but it is maintained in working condition. However, there was construction or remodeling on one side, which made it noisy at times. The pool area has tiles that are very worn out and difficult to walk on. The elevator (only one is operational) shakes right before stopping, which is quite unsettling. Overall, the property was clean and safe. Easy access to the beach area. Nice that there are side showers to rinse off the sand before returning to the pool area. This was a plus! The restaurant was nice with good food, but you have to pay directly and cannot charge it to the room. The laundry room was disappointing: only one of three dryers was working, and they charge $8 for a single wash and dry cycle!

For the price and location it's very hard to fault this place. Rooms and beds are clean and unlike other reviews no type of bags were seen. This is an older beach front property with obvious signs of wear and tear but being worked on. Staff was courteous and efficient. The restaurant is good and there is an OXXO across the street. As a frequent traveler ( 6 continents) I would stay here again when looking for a no frills and cost effective option. You can't beat the pool and the views.

The property was extremely old. Water pressure in the shower was terrible, and sometimes the toilets would not flush. There are no curtains in the bathrooms, so everyone outside can see you. It was also extremely dirty; there were roaches all over the place, and I even found a tick on my bed. There were also small bees inside the room.

I rented three rooms at this hotel, and unfortunately, the experience was terrible from start to finish. One of the beds had bugs (possibly bed bugs or ticks), making it impossible to feel comfortable. The elevator felt unsafe, the floors were uneven, and I saw both dead and alive roaches inside the property. On top of that, there was loud construction during the day, making it very hard to relax. Transportation services arranged through the hotel were another big problem — they were very expensive, the drivers showed up late, acted unprofessional, and overcharged us. At check-in, the hostess was unfriendly and impolite, which set a negative tone for the entire stay. Overall, this hotel was poorly maintained, noisy, and unprofessional. For the high price and the fact that I booked three rooms, I expected a much better experience. I would not recommend staying here.

The worst stay of my life, first of all the room cleanliness was subpar and overall was not clean in addition the bathroom layout was terrible with the toilet being like 6 inches away from the toilet and the overall bathroom size being small which made it impossible to use it comfortably. Now this is minor in comparison to what happened next was that someone from the hotel managed to steal 1400$ cash CAD from the safety deposit box which i had set a passcode to in addition to that a gold bracelet and a MacBook was also stolen from our room. And we have a police report to prove this. Now the passcode to the safety deposit box I had set and only knew about it so that meant that someone from the hotel had someway to override it and managed to open it up and steal cash from our locker. I have a police report to prove this. After we had found this out and reported it to the front office the next morning the manager came and told us that there was no camera for the hallway and was still investigating but instead of trying to find who did this she came into our room and had the audacity to start searching our luggage and stuff like we were hiding it. Absolutely I would recommend this place to no one if you value safety of your selves book another hotel. Other minor stuff included that the rooms floors are literally falling apart, the bathroom area in general was not clean with the shower drain leaching out smell in addition the bathroom had no ventilation.
