The resort is not really kid free. There are 3 resorts in 1. You still have to see kids in passing. The main pool can be shared with kids. I wanted adult only fun, but heard whining kids. Otherwise that it is a nice resort

The start of my vacation at this hotel wasn’t the best. However, Julio made it the best it can possibly be. When the hotel didn’t give us the room I paid for, Julio was able to get us the room we wanted. When we had bad service at the restaurant Zen, Julio got us a private dinner on the beach! He really did turn the trip around the best way that he could & I thank him for that. We appreciate Julio for being the best concierge & making the best accommodations for my husband & I’s honeymoon. However, we will no longer come to this resort, due to its lack of cleanliness.

I was very disappointed with my stay at The Royalton rivera. My room was very humid and hot when I walked in to my room. Smell of mold was very pronounced. My wife immediately had breathing issues allergies etc. later at night decided to go for a swim in the swim out upon my return it was raining in my room half my luggage got soaked. The next day they switch me rooms. Better room as far no mold smell without the swim out but, was forced to move to another room. The third room was in the same conditions as the first. The food here is low quality and poorly cooked. Also there was a bad smell throughout the property. They offered me a private dinner but it was basically the same food in a separate dining are. I wouldn’t come here.

The property was nice, needs a few repairs but overall the resort is beautiful and there’s plenty of space around the pools even when the beach wasn’t swimmable. Very friendly staff. It has lots of bars - but they were mostly understaffed. The AC in the rooms works wonderfully - that was appreciated. Our frustration was with the dining options. There are many restaurants but only about half are open each day. Every restaurant besides the buffet requires reservations and they fill fast so it’s extremely difficult to get a reservation, especially for a group larger than two. We were only able to get into 2 restaurants the entire week so the buffet was our only option.
