For an all inclusive stay, I would rate it 3/5. However, for the actual hotel I would say 5/5. The food is incredibly disappointing and the breakfast/lunch buffet is subpar. For dinner, you have to make reservations ahead of time and if you don’t, you have to eat at the “snack bar” which is a bunch of garbage. The bars make incredibly weak drinks (however: the “ticket to fly” drink is one of the few that actually have enough to make you tipsy!!) that are basically just juice. The pool is not heated and rarely has that many people in it. Our room with an ocean view was perfect though: clean, beautiful view, and exactly what we needed. Room service is $9 per plate for once again subpar food. For dinner, the best place is the Mexican restaurant, the rest is all very bad. So, if you need a hotel: this place is perfect. However, do NOT book this for all inclusive because the food and drinks are awful.

felt very unsafe. We were notified by other guests that we were being targeted (some staff was also involved in targeting us). We had the US embassy involved to helping us. Also, we were woken up the first night by BANGING on our door for about 45 seconds straight at 2am. A lot of weird uncanny experiences…we had to pack our bags and leave immediately to come back home.

Everything was stellar, particularly the staff. Natalia, Enrique, Alex and Lucio at the beach bar, Alberto, Alfredo, and Carlos at the buffet, we love you all and can’t thank you enough for your hospitality and making our vacation so wonderful. Arrival was fine, check in took a little while, but we were allowed to start our all-invlusive experience before we were able to get into the room, which was great as we were starving. Then however, the guest experience concierge tried to convince us to go to a "90-minute sales pitch" at a partner resort im exchange for a couple of freebies like a beach bag, hat and a free tour, provided we lied and said we had been married for 5 years and not 1. I kept trying to say no, but eventually this guy put us down for the tour saying i could cancel in the morning if I wanted. I just agreed so we could finally go and start our vacation - we were only there for three nights, and this was the second sales person wed had to get away from, yhe first being right out of the terminal at the airport. After escaping the salesman, finally getting to eat atbthe buffet which was a great start, then we get to our room after we get the keys at three - and the water is off for maintenance. Why they couldnt have told us this before we went up i will not understand. Apart from these instances, staff are great and friendly - learn some spanish if you can! It helps but not necessary, people appreciate it. We were totally ripped off by the gifts being sold there by vendors but no duh - you can haggle, just remember magnets are normally being sold for like 100 pesos for 3, like a tenth of what they are trying to get. Beach is small. Sun only available across the hotal until 4/5pm

Our experience was moderate. The room was clean, but dated. We were given towels and bedding with light staining or rips. The food was decent as well. The snack station had a similar rotation not always the warmest. Most staff such as housekeeping and bartenders (Henry & Lassaro) were excellent and kind! However, we felt very uncomfortable by a timeshare employee that pressured us every time we saw him to convince us to attend a timeshare meeting.
