Two design visionaries have joined forces to create this mesmerising beach house - the architecture by Sonny Chan and the interiors by guru Albano Daminato. The result is a sprawling complex with two ocean suites and three courtyard suites, a stunning poolside entertainment bale, a private tennis court and a luxurious spa, all designed with flair and panache. Events for up to 150 guests can be held at this property, so it's perfect for a wedding or special party.

Simple yet stylish bedrooms have sculptural terrazo walls, hardwood floors and timber walled closets. Minimal in style with clean lines and delicately canopied beds, these rooms have huge bay windows that boast awe-inspiring views of the Indian ocean. Ensuite bathrooms in the two master suites have freestanding tubs with ocean views and a luxurious rain shower.

The courtyard suites also have enviable sea views and beds that can be configured as king size or twins. These rooms are kitted out with Bose ceiling speakers for the televisions that are encased in minimal cupboards. There are extra pull out beds in some rooms - this flexible bed arrangement means this villa can sleep up to 15.

The entertainment bale is where the party's at in this villa - it has its own kitchen and barbecue zone and seating for 12+ people. Relax and enjoy some dinner and drinks with breathtaking views of the ocean. Fully loaded with flat screen television, a Wii, art and craft equipment, books and games galore, there's plenty to keep everyone happy on rainy days.

The incredible terraced gardens has layer upon layer of lush greenery in keeping with Canggu's sweeping vistas, while the luxurious saltwater infinity pool has plenty of space for everyone to swim - you'll feel like you can swim directly up to the ocean.

The dedicated spa room has two massage tables - you can arrange for skilled therapists to come to the villa for a traditional Balinese massage in peace.

There's plenty of activities to keep you moving in this villa! Serve up a storm on the full size private tennis court. It's kitted out with a ball machine and an array of rackets, while the gym has boxing equipment and a yoga platform alongside the usual high spec fitness equipment. Personal trainers, yoga and pilates instructors can be summoned to the villa for a dedicated exercise session (extra fee applies). The gym has pull-out beds to convert into a twin room, if required.

Arnalaya Beach House is perfectly placed on one of Canggu's most exclusive roads, Jalan Nelayan. The villa overlooks Nelayan beach, an striking ribbon of black volcanic sand lapping the Indian ocean, dotted with fishermen's huts and boats. Watch over Hindu ceremonies at the sacred temple and enjoy a refreshing cocktail on the beach.

The villa has its very own 'Little Black Book' with all the information to help you find the best secret hotspots around Canggu. Additionally, the staff at this villa are very knowledgeable and many live nearby so can tell you where the locals hang out.

Lively yet laid back, the Canggu area is popular with expats and holidaymakers. It's got an irresistible vibe and there's plenty to see and do. Canggu's beaches are superb for those who love surfing as there are some challenging waves to catch. You'll find plenty of surf schools where you can get acquainted with the waves and learn from the professionals.

Berawa and Batu Bolong beachs are both very close to the villa. Alternatively, take a 20 minute stroll across the golden sands all the way to Seminyak, stopping at lively cocktail huts along the way. Fabled Echo beach is just a 10 minute stroll away, where you can partake in their nightly seafood barbecues. Watch the sky light on fire from the comfort of a bean bag at the atmospheric beach bars.

Canggu is surrounded by vast evergreen rice fields that stretch as far as the eye can see. A great activity here is to ride a bicycle or scooter down the Shortcut, which is a delightfully scenic path through the rice plantations. Just be careful when you move to the side to let others pass, as the locals are busy making a book of all the falls into the rice fields!

Bali is known as the 'Island of the Gods' and is home to countless enchanting temples. Take a 30 minute drive to Pura Tanah Lot, a religious site perched atop a rock formation. It's believed that the temple here protects Bali from evil sea spirits. Pura Tanah Lot is also a popular spot for sunset, soak up the experience of locals praying and admire the ocean turn to gold in the evening light.

There are plenty of fun activities around Canggu town, including having a traditional Balinese massage at a fancy spa, yoga and crossfit studios and some incredible cafes serving up delicious food. On Sundays, head to La Laguna gypsy market for organic and eco-friendly products and traditional handicrafts. There's live music and a great atmosphere here.
