This hotel was great, we had a family room with bunks and it suited us perfectly. It was near many restaurants, lots within walking distance. Clean and renovated. Our only complaint was that the rooms aren’t very soundproof.

After 12 hours of travel, my interim drivers license was not good enough to secure my expedia booking. The credit card that made the booking was not good enough. Thank goodness for my Costco picture ID that convinced the front desk that I was indeed the person that made this expedia hotel booking and was the owner of the wallet that was attempting to check in. What a joke !!

Check in was for 4pm, I showed up and my room still wasn’t cleaned until 4:35, already an inconvenience since I planned my day around getting there on time and relaxing before going to dinner. When I walked into my room the bed was made but the toilet still had faeces in it. Bathtub was also not cleaned. Was not worth the amount spent and the customer service reps did not take any accountability. They still have not refunded my $150 deposit also.

The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable … I knew exactly what I was getting so there were no surprises !! And it was exactly how I envisioned it to be … other then there was no telephone, phonebook, notepad, or pen … which in our case would have been great … but that’s not a super big deal to us … just made it a little more challenging to locate places and people … but again … no big deal !! The view was super fantastic and the price was definitely awesome !!! Well worth any minor inconvenience we might have endured I’d say !! The biggest bonus was …. The staff !!! They were all phenomenal !! Stephan was the kindest, patient, honest and most helpful guest service representatives that a person could ever ask for !! Northwinds Hotels should be honoured to have this individual represent their chain !!!
