Reception staff were a delight. Room was warm and commfortable, as always. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening, that wasnt as we had hoped. We ordered a starter and a light bite. The starter came after the main course, in fits and starts !!.. One of teh starters was cold, one was overcooked and dry and one arrived 15 minutes after we had finished everything else. In addition, one of the waiting on staff had some personal hygiene issues which were quite off putting, when serving food at the table. Probably not the best experience in all honesty. Will stay there again though.

No hairdryer, iron, ironing board or luggage rack in room. Filthy stained carpet. Dust everywhere. “Leather” coated bedroom furniture scratched and dirty. Brown stain in one coffee cup that came off when washed. Room and corridor on 7th floor stank. Soundproofing nonexistent. At check out nobody asked how our stay was, probably because they knew they put us in a horrible room. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Only good thing - the lift is fast.

Travelled for work. Check in was poor. Waited ages in the queue as only 1 member of staff on duty, and then when got to check in was given no information whatsoever about facilities/restaurant/check out/breakfast etc. just shoved a piece of paper my way with limited info on it. Similar experience at breakfast - took my room number then just pointed towards tables. Breakfast quality was bang average for the cost. Limited availability, dirty cups (again, limited quantity though) next to coffee machines and not monitored/topped up. Not rushing to return!!

Tired hotel

I book this hotel regularly for work colleagues and having now stayed myself I won’t be booking it again. Dirty carpets, tired surroundings and no water in the rooms.

Room was ok, bed was lovely and comfortable. But the head board looked dirty and very dated. It could all do with a spruce up. No water in the room and very limited coffee/tea supplies (literally 1 coffee sachet) I tried calling for room service several times, no answer, called reception who tried to contact them too but no answer. Receptionist said she had left a message for them to call me but no-one did. Staff not particularly friendly but not rude. I probably wouldnt stay here again.
