The perfect location to meet up with family or friends and an ideal location to explore the wonders of this stunning county. From Southways discover the historic border city of Carlisle with its castle, the Eden Valley, the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the lakes and mountains of the Lake District National Park and of course Hadrian’s Wall. A 15-minute drive will take you over the border into Scotland to discover this stunning region with its miles of dramatic coastline and beautiful sandy beaches or just over an hour will take you to the attractions of Newcastle and the North East.
