The hot tub was very clean. The house was very cute! We had access to park our vehicle in the garage! We came down here to get married and the host was very nice and generous in letting us send our flowers here the day we arrived and also letting my mom and myself getting ready here! Beautifully appointed home, excellent host, perfect location

We stayed here for a weekend and found ourselves on a beautiful property, with every amenity you could hope for, all perfectly located at the gateway to Monterey Bay and Big Sur. It felt like we were staying with a family friend because the accommodations were so comfortable and luxurious, with lovely linens and fantastic beds, a comprehensive and open-concept kitchen and living room, with all the items you would have at your own home and then some! The hot tub, fire pit, and outdoor areas were perfect to enjoy cooler evenings and sunny morning coffee with a view of the ocean in the distance. The host was fantastic - super responsive, kind, thoughtful, and made us feel like family friends! Even left me a slice of cake with a candle for my birthday! I would stay here again and again! Thanks for a wonderful visit!!!

Exactly what we wanted.

The house is as described and frankly even nicer. From beds to hot tub and all in between, worth every penny. The host is exactly what u want, friendly and quick to answer but not remotely intrusive. A slice of paradise

We had such a great experience here, and are so happy that we chose to home for our vacation. There were so many special details -- like the fresh flower arrangements that Ellen made for us for our arrival. Margot was very communicative and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked with really nice appliances that made home-cooked meals lots of fun. After a long day of exploring, we were happy to return here for dinner and a relaxing hang-out in the living room. I definitely want to come back here, I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our time exploring Carmel, Monterey and Big Sur.

Wife's birthday getaway

This place was amazing. We took this as a family getaway and the ambiance and the quietness was refreshing. The property was clean and the house had plenty of natural sunlight. The only downside I would say is that there is minimal cell phone coverage, especially trying to entertain 2 little ones but the wi-fi worked just fine. Communication with the owner was seamless and gave us full confidence to feel like we were home away from home. Definitely want to come back.

Another fabulous stay in Carmel!

This is our second time staying in Margot's beautiful home and once again we had a fabulous stay! The ambience of the home is serene and the beds are so comfortable. We love the huge windows in the dining area that overlook the garden and ocean in the distance. The kitchen has everything one could need. The location simply cannot be beat- the home is within 5 minutes of Point Lobos and 10 minutes of fabulous dining, shopping and art galleries. 10/10 recommend this property!

My friends and I stayed for a long weekend. The house was beautiful and comfortable as advertised. There was a little more street noise from the highway than we anticipated, but it didn’t negatively affect our stay at all. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. She’s the best.

A Natural Haven

This is a gorgeous property with views of the ocean, in a beautiful neighborhood conducive to walking. Yet the lovely landscaping made the outside very private. The house is pristine- has everything you would want during your stay. It is close to great hiking, Carmel and Monterey. The location is close to grocery stores, etc. We adored this home. Margot is always available and answers promptly- a great host! we’ll be back!

Nicely landscaped and maintained....well-stocked kitchen...very comfortable beds and pillows...plush robes and nice bathroom products. ( Those things matter! ) Easy access to spectacular scenery in all directions...good info booklet from host, Margot, re restaurants, etc. She was out of town, but was very responsive and helpful by text and email. A wonderful getaway with my two sons!

Delightful stay ....

Wanted a few days hiking and seeing the sights. The house was spotless, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was perfect for getting into Carmel, Point Lobos and surrounding areas. Note that, due to winter storms, the trail to the private beach is pretty torn up and the beach itself is covered in large boulder type pebbles! Notwithstanding that, we highly recommend this property.

Absolutely FABULOUS!

We loved our stay in Margot's spectacular Carmel home! The location is PERFECT- just a 2 min drive from Point Lobos- and the house is beautiful. The beds were the most comfortable of any I've ever experienced during a VRBO stay anywhere (and I've had many!) The house was so peaceful- it made my whole family happy. Margot made everything so easy and communication was fantastic. We cannot wait to return!!!!

House and neighborhood were very nice, with some water view from front main living area and master bedroom, as well as from front patio/deck with fireplace. Met owner/host whom was very friendly. Enjoyed the neighborhood walk to the opening between 2 houses to the bluff and beach below. Proximity was also very convenient to Point Lobos Park. Overall had a great visit.
