The entire staff was fabulous and it is unfortunate that I do not remember all of their names, despite the fact that everyone of them knew my name. A special thank you to Maria at the adult pool. He and his team were very attentive to our needs and made us feel as though we had the pool all to ourselves. Also, all of the drivers provided exceptional service as did the breakfast staff. The concierge’s were always on top of everything providing a worry-free experience, we thank them all. Hotel Sofitel Baru is a hidden gem that we definitely plan to return!

I just returned from an amazing vacation here in Colombia, and I have to say—it was truly a five-star experience from start to finish! The hotel was absolutely beautiful, exactly as pictured, and exceptionally clean and well-maintained. A special shoutout to Mario, who went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. It’s paradise. However, getting there is difficult. The roads that take you there are horrendous. It’s a long bumpy ride. It’s about 90 minutes by cab. Going by boat it’s very expensive and there are only two trips per day.
