Disliked: Staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
Located next to a nosiy street. Even with all windows closed, we can hear cars honking, rubbish truck working its way down the street, etc very clearly from our room. I was awaken at 1am, 4am, etc throughout my 4 night stay. No good sleep to be had at this place.
The apartment is on the second floor and there's no lift.
Bedroom and Living room are small and cluttered with old furniture and weird random knick knacks, liquer bottles, etc. It feels more like staying at an elderly relative's house. It is not a B&B fitted out with the guests' comfort as a priority.
I fitted out new light bulbs in the living room the first night, as most of them didn't work. I mopped the bathroom on the second and third day, as the bathtub leaked when we showered and flooded the bathroom entrance. (They tried to fix the problem the first time round but the leak happened again the next day.)
If you don't mind being a handyman and janitor during your stay, and having lousy sleep because of noise, go ahead to give this apartment a try.
There is an earlier review left by another guest who reported that this is an illegal B&B and the police came up to frisk the house during their stay. Its a real shame we missed reading this review before we booked our stay.
