From start to finish the communication about this booking was excellent, friendly, hassle-free and informative. We were met by friendly reps, despite our last minute delayed flight, and were given an excellent online info pack. The square that the apartment is in is lovely - a really interesting bookshop, good restaurants and bars, and of course the Ursino castle. The local areas has a really friendly vibe. There is often live music in the square, and it's the best of both worlds - plenty to see and do nearby, but quiet and peaceful inside. The apartment was exactly as the pictures - we really felt at home, it was well equipped and we slept well. The chilled water, nespresso machine with pods, and air con were much appreciated. My only criticism (and it is very minor) is that the shower door is a bit tricky to open and close. The area felt very safe, and you can walk to the cathedral square in 10 mins. Easy to catch the bus to Palermo/Syracusa etc from Piazza Paolo Borsellino near the fish market, a 5 min walk away (which saves a longer walk to the bus station). Good idea to book buses in advance online (especially for Palermo) as they get booked up. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again if we return. Highly recommend!

Apartment was ok (just). Has good AC and bedrooms are fine although the balconies are rather narrow. Kitchen area is very small. Shower room decidedly average with occasional drains smell noticeable and shower door rubber strip on bottom of the door making it harder than it should to open / close. Also lot of fuss about putting out stuff for recycling - this on a Monday, that on a Tuesday - they did belatedly then send me the list. No problem with recycling of course but there are smarter ways of doing it and I was trying to have a 5 day break. It's ok but I would not stay here again. Comms not good and all too fussy for me from Wonderful Italy - in complete contrast to my stay in Siracusa immediately after staying here.

Good location. Only issue was that there was a bit of noise from various bars etc until around 1:30 in the morning. Ok if you are taking part in it but not if you are in your bed.
