About this property
Birchcliff-Lakefront View King bed Central Air AC
Gather at Birchcliff Cottage for unforgettable Lake Huron views and one of the world's top 10 sunsets—best enjoyed from the back deck or the living room’s soaring windows. With room for 8 adults, cozy fireplaces, a Traeger smoker, and a firepit for sunset chats and stargazing, it’s the perfect escape just five minutes from Bayfield’s charm, shops, and famous ice cream.
As soon as you turn onto our quiet, tree-lined lane, you'll feel it—that weight lifting from your shoulders. I’ve felt it myself every time I arrive, and I love sharing that feeling with guests. The lake pulls your gaze before you even unpack, inviting you to step out back and just breathe. You came here to reconnect—with nature, with each other, and maybe even with yourself.
INSIDE:
Step through the door into a space that feels more like a home than a rental. Birchcliff Cottage is cozy, not curated—warm, welcoming, and filled with natural light. Head into the great room where you can stir up a family recipe in the open kitchen, snack at the island, and chat around the wood stove. Or settle into the second living room—where cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows make the lake part of every moment. Pour a drink, grab a board game, or just sit in silence together in front of the gas fireplace watching the colors shift across the water.
High chair available at cottage.
Pack and play available upon request.
SLEEPING SPACES:
--Main Floor--
Premier Bedroom - King Bed with Lake View
Bedroom 2 - Double Bed
--Upstairs --
Bedroom 3 - Double Bed
Loft Bedroom - Queen Bed
3 Piece Bathroom and a 1/2 Bath
OUTSIDE:
If you’re like me, you’ll spend most of your time out back. The lake breeze dances through the trees while you kick back in a gravity chair. Morning coffee tastes better at the sunlit front entry, where birds are your only company. By afternoon, you're firing up the BBQ or Traeger smoker, wine in hand, flipping burgers or slow-smoking something amazing. Gather under the gazebo for a lakeside meal, then head to the firepit to share stories and laughter as the sun puts on one of its world-famous shows over Lake Huron.

EXPERIENCE BAYFIELD
The pace of life slows down in Bayfield. When you vacation here, it's easy to experience each day to its fullest.
Clan Gregor Square is the heart of our quaint community where many local festivals/carshows and you won't want to miss the farmers market in season. Pioneer Park is another local favorite—kids will love cooling down at the splash pad. There's always something happening here, whether it's morning yoga or artists painting the sunset.
You're just 2 minutes from the Bluewater Golf Club. We're happy to suggest our favorite local spas, wineries and breweries, including Hessenland Inn & Schatz Winery and Bad Apple Brewing Co. With wooded trails, scenic country vistas and stunning Lake Huron, Bayfield is a beautiful place to explore no matter the season.
ABOUT YOUR HOST
I'm Jennifer, I started CottageStays to share my own home with like-minded travelers who appreciate escaping to life at a slower pace. I've never forgotten how lucky I am to call Lake Huron home. Now more than ever, everyone is in need of the kind of peace and quiet that escaping to the lake can bring. It's my absolute privilege to be the one to provide families and friends a special place to gather and create memories while exploring an area so near and dear to me.
