According to local lore, Marcel Proust visited many times, and Gustave Eiffel even designed a staircase by the orangery (sadly sold off in the 1980s).

Tucked away inside a walled garden in the medieval village of Chalabre, this enchanting château offers a truly unique escape in a region rich with history and surrounded by outstanding natural beauty. During the summer, the village comes alive with art exhibitions, live music, and local festivities.
