Decent for an overnight traveller

Having the swimming pool in the middle of the parking lot, beside a McDonald’s drive through was not appealing. The hotel should take better advantage of its position beside the river. The small “patio” built in the middle of the parking lot serves more as a smoking section than a relaxing patio. Otherwise our stay was quick and comfortable. Thank you for the breakfast, too.

I purposely book this hotel because we’re picking up our grand children from North Carolina and taking them to Ohio to stay with us for the week. I wanted the kids to be able to swim in the pool and get some energy out halfway through the trip. It rained earlier in the day and the staff said they couldn’t open the pool because it had rained. Even though the rest of the evening And the next morning were perfectly beautiful and sunny. They refused to open the pool. It was in the high 80s.

There wasn't coffee or juice for breakfast. The elevator did not work due to power outage. Kids running around in the room above us. Manager did not take care of this as promised. Asked for a discount from the very high $150 we paid and got none. Not a $150 hotel.

Great option if staying in the area. Easy drive to downtown or Vascular surgery center at Hospital. Shopping center close by has a Kroger’s, dollar store, Lowe’s, and a few restaurant. The hotel was very clean, their free breakfast was great. Lake front view included in price, plenty of parking, and a pool. There is a McDonalds about 200 feet away. Great stay.
