Victorian Villa Escape is a private waterfront estate with spectacular views of Lake Wylie. Host your weekend getaway here! We've converted this charming 1900's Victorian Bed and Breakfast into a single family home and it is the perfect location for your next family reunion/bachlorette party/relaxing vacation. Perfectly situated less than 15 minutes from Charlotte uptown, 10 minutes from the airport, and tucked away in a quiet, secluded cove. While quirky and expansive, the entire home and attached apartment has been recently renovated with brand new beds, appliances, linens and towels. Enjoy the beautiful sunset from our lakeside gazebo. Swim or float right from our dock. We can also heat the pool most of year (please ask about rates and availability). Come see the charm and beauty that Lake Wylie has to offer. Bring your own boat or ask about our pontoon rental :) Pontoon holds 10 people and can be rented from us right from the dock.

The attached apartment comes included in our rates for an additional kitchen, livingroom, full bath and queen bed (7th bedroom).

Wonderful home for a family reunion

This house is one of the best equipped and cleanest of any VRBO we rented. It now only has everything you want in a kitchen -- it often has 2 of them, 2 ovens, 2 crockpots, 2 coffee makers (one Keurig). It has many bedrooms with ensuite baths and lots of common areas for the kids to play and the family to gather. The host was super helpful on the two occasions that I contacted him. We would rent it again next year but the week we needed was not available. The pool was very clean with lots of chairs and pool toys. The gas fire pit was amazing. We had a great time there.

A little quirky but great place for large groups. Kitchen was spacious with all the needed appliances with lots of extras.It's always nice to have 2 refrigerators and 2 ovens. The pool and deck set up was great and used often. We took the pontoon out at least 4 or 5 times and the kids loved it. We would return in the future. Our host, Steve, was very responsive and very quickly took care of any issues.Definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was perfect for our large family—plenty of space for everyone to have their own areas while still offering great spots to gather and spend time together. Awesome family vacation

Highly recommend.This property is definitely a hidden gem.Our family of 19 ages 2 to 72 and everywhere in between could not have been happier with this location and the home. It is definitely a quirky layout but plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is very well stocked and having two ovens and three refrigerators was a bonus. The outdoor living spaces are perfect and the swimming pool was used from morning till dark. We rented the pontoon boat and used it every single day. My family agreed this was one of our best vacations ever. The hosts answered all of our questions promptly. We would definitely come back again.

Perfect lake house

We had an amazing stay at this cute and quirky home! The pool was a huge bonus. The layout is a little funky but it worked well for us once we figured out where everything was. The owners have done a great job of making modern updates and still keeping the unique vintage feel of the home. We would absolutely stay here again!

Stunning Lake Wylie Gem!

Capturing the wonder of this stay in words simply will not do it justice. The views, the set up, and the house itself are amazing. Everything we could have needed was provided inside and out. This home is one of the most unique and beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. Having access to the pontoon and heated pool was the icing on the cake. On top of that, the host was super helpful and very communicative. They made an amazing stay possible out of a last minute decision to take a trip for our anniversary. My husband and I were able to enjoy the weekend with ease. Can't recommend this location enough, we hope to be back very soon.

Great house for a large crowd

We were 15 family members from age 25-90! Everyone had their own space and plenty of areas to have quiet time. We also had a 90 th birthday celebration for our parents, With extended family visiting age 2 to 90 there was something there for everyone! The heated pool was a big hit as was ability to have pontoon boat on sight. The amenities and supplies in the home were more than expected and helpful when having a large crowd!!Would definitely stay there in the future!

My family and I stayed for three nights. The house has alot of activities the kept us indoors The kids enjoyed the pool, alittle risky for younger kids who would run to the lake. A small gate would be beneficial.

Great family vacation house!

House worked out perfectly for our group. The kids got to swim on this Christmas vacation because the owner offered to heat the pool to 95 degrees for a small fee. What a blast they had! He even put up a Christmas tree. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pans, utensils, etc. and the house is large and rambling. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. We came from Boston, Cape Cod, Chicago, Ohio, Michigan, Tacoma and California to spend Christmas with our mother who lives in NC. Great communication from Steve the owner. Couldn't have had a better experience!

Magical experience

We came to celebrate my son's wedding in Belmont. The whole weekend was perfect. We loved the house so much that we decided to spend a free day just relaxing at home, rather than exploring. The house is designed for gathering together , yet everyone had their own space for privacy. The mist on the water in the mornings was lovely, the little victorian house is charming, the house was spotless and beautifully stocked.

Family reunion and surprise 85th birthday party.

We stayed at this property in order to celebrate an 85th birthday and have a family reunion. This property was perfect for everyone. There were plenty of gathering areas for everyone to be together as well as plenty of space to spread out as well. The pool was an excellent spot to hang out throughout the day and after getting back from adventures in the area. Overall I highly recommend this property.

Great Stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this old bed and breakfast. Plenty of comfortable beds. Our grandkids enjoyed the lake pad and swimming in the lake and the pool. We enjoyed cruising the area in the pontoon boat for the week. Communication with the owner was great - the dishwasher leaked into the downstairs bedroom. He had a repairman out and we received a new dishwasher the same day! All in all we had a great time!

2024 Family Reunion to honor parents/grandparents

Beautiful family reunion gifted to us by our parents. Cherishing old memories and creating new ones together the way our parents would have loved. The lake house was wonderful in every way. A lovely time on the lake

This beautiful home and grounds were perfect for my extended family.we loved the pool, the lake, the pontoon and everything! We ranged from 5 years up to 71 and we all loved it all. Clean with lots of room! We are planning a return trip already. Fantastic!

A wonderful property. The lake, the swimming pool, the firepit, the entertainment room, and the gazebo; all just wonderful. Our family stayed here for one week and time flew by so fast. We had myself and my husband, our 4 married children with their spouses, and 4 grandchildren, for a total of 14 people. There was room for everyone to spread out, and also equally room for all of us to gather together at the same time. The pictures on the VRBO listing do not give justice to just how big the house actually is. There are 3 refrigerators ( main house, main house laundry room, and apartment) that gave us ample space for everyone's food. There are 4 common areas with TVs for movie watching or to play your video games, plus 5 of the 7 bedrooms also have TVs. The internet is not the best, but this did not affect us as we spent most of our time outside. The house is older, but amazing. It has a lot of charm and history. The house had many items stocked that other VRBOs do not, such as: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, shampoo and conditioner, condiments, and seasonings and spices. There is an ice maker in the entertainment room, which was used a lot by us. There is one canoe and two kayaks, plus lots and lots of lake and pool toys. Steve is a great host; super fast in responding to our questions and also gave us suggestions on places to visit in the area. I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone for your next vacation get away.
