It was a mixed experience. The check in process was not smooth at all. The girl working the desk was snotty and gave us a downgraded room. When we found out, we ended up having to wast time getting it fixed. They also couldn’t find our reservation for a good 1/2 hour. The rooftop bar was closed, which was the main reason for picking this hotel. It was right across the street from the spectrum center, so that was a plus. Parking was expensive, which I guess is expected downtown. The room, after getting it fixed, was very nice.

Nice, but not with the amount

Room was nice. Not worth the amount. Bathroom was dark and parking was 30 a day which insane for one night. Also, the room has no microwave?? For three something a night in Charlotte it should have included all modern necessities.

This property is average but fine. The main point that I would caution any one away from booking with this hotel is the staff's lack of ownership with Marriott policy. They literally never apologized for missed steps or lack of communication etc. MARRIOTT ISSUES A HOLD ON YOUR CCARD DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF YOUR CHARGES> THEN THIS DOUBLE AMOUNT IS HELD FOR AN UNUSUAL AND UNETHICAL AMOUNT OF TIME BEFORE RELEASING FUNDS> 5-10 DAYS. WHEN DISCUSSING THIS ISSUE THE STAFF SIMPLY ADVISED ME TO "READ THE FINE PRINT" and INFORMED ME IT WAS IN SOME WELCOME LETTER THAT I NEVER RECEIVED> WHEN CHALLENGED THE STAFF SIMPLY STATED "OKAY..." NO APOLOGY NO OWNERSHIP OR UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS POLICY IS UNIQUE AND TOO LONG FOR CLEARED CHARGES, HOLDING THIS AMOUNT OF MONEY ONCE THE ACTUAL CHARGES HAVE CLEARED SEEMS AGAINST THE LAW> MARRIOTT IS A FAILING BRAND ANYWAY SO I WILL CONTINUE TO CAUTION PEOPLE AND SUPPORT PEOPLE TO CHOSE ANOTHER BRAND OF HOTEL> WHICH THERE ARE PLENTY

Did not like the riff raff hanging around Hotel begging for money. Also having the microwave in hallway when we had to heat something up. Did not like how they let riff raff stay at this hotel did not feel safe when they were knocking on doors and making drug deals with doors half open and whispering with who ever was in that room.very sketchy.
