Rebecca to the Rescue at Hilton University Place

Rebecca at the front desk is truly exceptional! I had some issues over a few days, and she went above and beyond to ensure my next room was perfect. She genuinely made up for the lost sleep and inconvenience caused by the toilet, sink, and missed room service. Rebecca was incredibly pleasant and attentive, making me feel valued and never rushed. She's the main reason I chose to extend my stay with Hilton. She's a tremendous asset, and I'm so glad she's the first person I encounter when I arrive. Because of Rebecca, I have rated this so much higher.

Overnight stay for concert

Stayed one night for the Rod Stewart concert at PNC. Close to venue. Close to restaurants and shopping. The hotel was very pretty and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is in a safe area. We would definitely stay again.

The rooms are okay, nothing special. There was no A/C in the hallway, room A/C worked great. Ice machine on our floor did not work. The property is nice, pool was great. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance. The restaurant and bar are ok, a little expensive. "Don't use cash at the bar". Long story.

HORRIBLE! I came to the hotel an hr before check in time after driving five hours & was told I could not check in. Sat for 30min & saw the same lady tell others they could not. Then noticed other employees checking people in. Walked over to one & was checked in w/no issue. Explained their were people in the lobby & bar that were also denied check in. I have a disability & request a room close to elevator access. Was given a room at the end of the hall on the far side of the hotel. I came back from the event w/no handicap parking available. I had to park six rows from the hotel. There was no lighting which was extremely dangerous. It could barely walk to the hotel entry. The front desk employees were talking & laughing. I even stood there for a few mins & was not addressed. I gave up. I have never been so dissapointed staying at a hotel. I will NEVER be back and will NEVER recommend!

The night shift staff was rude. No vending machines and nothing open late. No waters in room. We had 2 rooms with 6 people and she gave me a hard time about getting a water for everyone. Finally gave me enough for everyone, and basically said that’s all we could get. I wasn’t asking for anymore.

The hotel was beautiful, and our room was clean and comfortable. When we arrived, a very bad storm had just started, and caused the entrance of the hotel to flood. We had to walk through large pools of water to get to a side door just to enter the building. The staff was helpful, though, and made us feel better when we checked in. My main complaint would be the elevator situation. The hotel had a large convention going on, which backed up the line for the elevators that were already running slow. When we left the next day, people had been waiting in line for the elevator for 40 minutes! We decided to take the stairs, which was 8 flights down. It was awful having to carry our suitcases down a stairwell that wasn’t air conditioned. It was very inconvenient, as we were on a time crunch to get to a college orientation.
