Room was clean there were a couple of roaches in the bathroom and the bath tub was not clean but not a major problem. Check in was easy. Elevator very convenient. Would definitely go back again

There was nothing safe or secure about this place. My kids and I had a reservation for 8 days, we didn't even stay 8 hours. The condition of our room was beyond horrible. There were cockroaches in our room. The lobby, elevator, stairwells, and hallways reeked of cigarettes and marijuana. Claiming to be a smoke-free hotel. If there was any housekeeping at all it was unapparent. I was an employee of Choice Hotels and their standard for cleanliness was very high, this hotel doesn't deserve the accreditation for being a Choice Hotels. I'll never stay in this hotel ever again nor will I ever recommend this hotel to anyone. This should literally be a no star hotel.

Hotel Review: Suburban Studios near UNC-Charlotte My experience at Suburban Studios was extremely disappointing. When I arrived, the room was in such poor condition that I spent an hour and 45 minutes cleaning it myself, including leaving the property to buy my own cleaning supplies. I didn’t bother asking for a different room because I doubted it would have been any better. The lobby also felt unwelcoming. The setup was so exaggerated in its attempt to appear secure that it created an uncomfortable atmosphere instead of a sense of safety. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, the condition of the lobby, and the general environment made my stay far from acceptable. I won’t be returning and would recommend looking at other options in Charlotte for a cleaner and more professional experience.

This hotel isn't located in an ideal, safe location. Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted with a lack of care, concern, & good customer service. The hotel charged my card before I even showed up to check-in. The front desk staff was very rude & argumentative. Since the reservation was booked through a third party, they requested that I call them to make changes. I was originally going to stay 2 nights, but the appearance, smell, disrespectful staff, location, & overall level of care, I refused to stay 2 nights, which is why I had to contact the third party to modify my reservation & having them contact the hotel's staff. When we got to our room, it was disturbing on so many levels. There was only one wash cloth, one hand towel, & one bath towel. The toilet sat super low to the floor like it was a toddler potty. The king bed had two pitiful pillows. There were no black out curtains or curtains period. The blinds were in bad condition. The hotel just felt like an old creepy mental institution. 0/10-DO NOT RECOMMEND

The room was not cleaned! In fact there was pee on the toilet seat and garbage on the floor. And there was cockroaches in the room. When I asked the staff to clean the room, they didn’t. And when I went to complain about the cockroach the front desk employee didn’t want to hear about it. I understand that in the south cockroach’s are more common but the other hotel we stayed at was clean and no bugs in sight. Horrible stay for 1 night when it was supposed to be 4 nights.

The first 2 nights I had to deal with a family above me with kids jumping around ( probably off the bed and chairs) they were only told about it and I wasn't offered another room! The next 2 nights there was someone walking around above me very loudly. It was not pleasant at all!! There were also cockroaches in the room so I had to leave lights on to keep them away!!!
