.five minutes walk into charroux village centre, medieval Benedictine 8 th century ruins of an abbey.the village square has a medieval covered market hall.
Charroux centre has two bakeries,bars, chemist,food shop, weekly market.
Less than a minutes walk from the house is a typically french restaurant serving platt de yours another 5 minute walk from the house is a park with the charrente river,where you can fish
Charroux is ideal for a relaxing stay.fantastic walks,and even cycling.
If you want a bit busier,a 5 minute car drive to civray,where there are larger shops,and bars.
