You don't seem to get what you paid for

We booked a standard room and we got an accessible room. There was no explanation for why a room that had been booked so in advance was changed without any warning or permission. The receptionist was not very friendly and did seemed phased with the situation.

Quiet hotel. Soundproofed. Central for everything. All attractions nearby - city walls - a quick and interesting way to get to cathedral and historic centre. Spoilt for choice for restaurants. All staff lovely - reception, breakfast and cleaning staff friendly. Beds excellent. Shower hot. Good value. Couldn't fault it. I'd say negative reviews have been unlucky.

Great stay in Chester. This property couldn’t be closer to the city centre and attractions. Very nice staff in particular the friendly girl on the bar on Monday night. Breakfast was excellent but missing hash browns from the menu for some reason. Room was decent for the price we stayed as a family of 3 and had plenty of space. Also very close to a lot of dining options in the area. Make sure you ask for the parking discount before you pay for parking as we fell foul of this (did get a refund so no real dramas apart from the hassle)

Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and our room was excellent. Bar/restaurant area was really nice and the lady serving at the bar was really lovely. We will definitely stay again. Ate at the restaurant called Amni across the road and it was excellent. Loads of choice of lovely restaurants nearby and main shopping area just round the corner made it a brilliant location.
