Loved the Nest thermostat so we could adjust temps easily. Gas stove was great & we had all the pots, pans and most of the utensils we needed. Loads of towels of all sizes and blankets & pillow selection too - really nice! Desk, chair, study lamp, and white noise machine were provided. Comms with hosts were super fast and all minor requests were quickly accommodated. Location to public transport and pictures exactly as shown, very truthful vrbo listing! Now to the subjective things I look for...shower head was rainfall style with 4 pressure settings, one of which was decently forceful but a small spray pattern; the beds both have that center depression commented in other reviews...you do get wallowed into the beds but they were comfortable enough (i prefer soft beds). I grew up in a two-story house so I rolled my eyes at the few reviews complaining about the noise upstairs. But as a light sleeper (who always brings a speaker with nature sounds to cover up noise and help me stay asleep) I must admit that i didn't enjoy getting woken up between 7 and 7:30 every morning by the creaking floorboards and forceful strides above me. If you're a deep sleeper or get up early anyway, shouldn't affect you. The 1-ply TP comments are still true! We went straight to nearby Osco to get TP and laundry detergent. And it appears they allow guests to self-police kitchen cleanliness cuz I had to hand-wash everything and some stuff had caked-on food. I wish there were hooks for jackets and towels.
