Basic hotel. Deceiving website.

I have never given a review before but I was so disappointed in what we got compared to the description I had to. Basic hotel. Nice decor in rooms but essentially sleeping on a mattress on the floor. So uncomfortable. Only a fitted sheet and a comforter. TV in bathroom didn't work. No room service as described. "Bar" in the lobby..not sure if it's ever been open. Rarely saw anyone at the front desk to ask questions. Felt left to your own devices to figure everything out. Do not believe the website, do your own research.

The property was clean. Equally important was the hospitality of staff. Only down would have been no dining on propert, but the staff pointed me toward venues that satisfied my palate.

The property has no bar, no restaurant, no breakfast, no coffee in the lobby. I booked a king suite with a city view and I got a handicapped room with a view of an alley/fire escape. They are advertising amenities that don’t exist at the property. It’s false advertising. Even their hotel website is advertising false amenities. The hotel was very noisy. People were calling the hotel and walking in the hotel for refunds. They were told only one manager could do it.

Worn down. Mattress saggy. No heat or hot water.

Rooms are outdated and very worn down. Last renovation 20+ years ago. Everything is scuffed, chipped, broken, torn (floors, doors, curtains, etc).Tub had mold around it. Bed mattress is old and saggy (I slept sideways in the foot area because the top was so worn and sagging). Sofa was filthy and saggy. The hot water fluctuated cold/warm, and "warm" was body temp at best. Too cold to even wash my hair. It is winter and the room temp wouldn't get above 66F, even with heat running on high. The mini fridge motor was so loud and rattles the whole wet bar area, I had to sleep with ear plugs. The window faced the alley, no sunlight, nothing, just a view of a fire escape and tons of dumpsters. We stayed in room 402. This hotel was nice at one point. Not anymore. The location was good. The staff were ok.

Room was gorgeous and very spacious. Great location. Negatives: Attendants at the front desk were not the friendliest, lobby bar was closed and parking was pricey. Thin walls - could hear sirens all night.

Location was excellent for a chicago winter downtown. Lots of options for shopping, site seeing, second city, RH Cafe, lincoln Zoo. Stayed in a larger room, very clean and nice bathroom.

I didn’t have a heat in my room for the whole time I stayed my room was freezing, and I was traveling with your kids. But the manager was very nice. She gave me a refund through Expedia. The other workers was horrible. I called them so many times to come and fix my heat, but nobody cares. They even didn’t offer me to change my room.
